Activate, the world’s first active gaming facility and a viral sensation on TikTok, is set to open its doors in Regina, Saskatchewan, on August 21, 2024. To commemorate this launch, Activate will offer free admission from Wednesday, August 21, to Wednesday, August 28, 2024. Visitors can sign up and the first 50 guests will receive an exclusive free gift.
Following successful openings in major U.S. cities such as Chicago, New Jersey, Atlanta, Dallas, and Kansas City, as well as Canadian locations including Calgary, Winnipeg, and Halifax, Activate is now bringing its innovative entertainment experience to Regina. Located at 2550 Quance Street, the facility promises to deliver a novel and immersive gaming experience.
Activate Regina is designed to cater to players of all skill levels, offering advanced electronic RFID wristbands that allow participants to track their progress, earn points, advance through levels, and win prizes. Activate's expansion to Regina marks its 40th location across the United States and Canada, with a global player base of over 2.6 million. The facility spans 12,989 square feet and includes 12 different game rooms, each offering unique challenges and experiences. Popular games include the Mega Grid with over 500 multi-activated tiles, the Strike game where players aim at beaming bullseyes, and the Laser room that gives participants a chance to feel like modern-day spies.
The facility will operate Monday through Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., and Friday to Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Groups of two to five players can sign up to participate in the 75-minute gaming sessions. The location is equipped to welcome players of all ages, providing an inclusive environment for diverse gaming experiences.
Activate is not just stopping in Regina; the company plans to open additional locations in Canada, including Toronto Stockyards and Coquitlam, BC. In the U.S., new sites are set to open in prominent markets such as New York (Roosevelt Field) and Detroit, MI. Internationally, Activate will launch a location in Dubai by Fall 2024 and make its UK debut in 2025.
