AI Brainstorm Creator and CHEER (Core Human Experiences Evoked Regularly) have embarked on one of the world's largest AI-assisted social media experiments. By utilizing online videoconferencing, the project aims to induce peak emotional states such as Wonder, Laughter, Compassion, Group Mind Mapping, and a mini-Hero's Journey among study participants. According to CIO Amy Chang, the initiative seeks to make social media, smartphone apps, the Internet, and AI net contributors to psychological well-being instead of being detrimental to mental health.
The protocols for this ambitious project draw from diverse sources, including Gestalt Therapy, the 10 Bhumis of Mahayana Buddhism, Jungian Shadow work, Stoic philosophy, Neurodynamic Breathwork, the latest Generative AI technologies, and practices from contemporary neolithic tribes such as the Hadzabe of Tanzania, the Tau't Batu people from the Philippines, and the Yanomami from the Brazilian Amazon.
Each day, participants engage in new experiments designed to help them connect with their passions in innovative ways. Director of Innovation John Toomey states that the process remains engaging and transformative by consistently attaining the most sublime emotional experiences and sharing them with others. The mutual inspiration fostered through this shared journey is a cornerstone of the project's success.
Education Director Savithri Patel emphasizes that the ability to train the brain to reach peak states through AI, customized for each individual and shared globally, marks a new frontier for humanity. This innovative approach holds promise for improving cooperation on global challenges.
The fifth cohort of this groundbreaking experiment engages in various emotionally enriching activities:
GRATITUDE – Participants from 33 countries celebrate by watching live streams of the first shared moments between mother and child at the largest maternity hospital in the Philippines, where a baby is born every 12 minutes.
BRAINSTORMING – AI-assisted group mind mapping sessions are conducted via Zoom using generateideas.ai. Participants create 170 mind maps for each of the UN's sub-targets within the 17 Agenda for Sustainability Goals, resulting in actionable solutions and enhanced swarm and artificial intelligence.
AWE – Monthly, hundreds of wonder-inspiring online experiences are reviewed and upvoted. Consistent favorites include explore.org's 82 live wildlife webcam streams, images from the James Webb Space Telescope, and the infinite regression video zoomquilt2.com.
LAUGHTER – Participants join laughter yoga club meetings via Zoom or Skype in 31 countries, enhancing communal joy and well-being.
HERO'S JOURNEY – In collaboration with underground schools for girls in Afghanistan, participants use Leonardo.ai to create modernized images of ancient Afghan heroines who engage in virtual 'Sher Jangi' or poetry competitions in Dari, Pashto, and Uzbek.
Toomey notes that participating in these projects consistently helps participants find purpose and meaning in life. The focus shifts from seeking life's meaning to actively contributing to global emotional enrichment. He compares this to the natural sense of purpose felt by a new mother gazing at her infant for the first time.
