Pop/reggae singer Alyxandra, who has been preparing for her musical career since childhood, has released her debut album titled Turkoise. Available now on Spotify and Apple Music, the album highlights her remarkable vocal talent and distinctive style, merging pop and reggae influences.
Growing up in Charleston Sound Studios, owned by her classically trained pianist father, Alyxandra was exposed to the music industry early on, observing collaborations with artists like Darius Rucker, Ashanti, and Chris Robinson. This background has evidently influenced her musical development and the creation of Turkoise.
In addition to making headlines for her life-changing journey for love and covering songs from popular American reggae bands Rebelution and Stick Figure, Alyxandra wrote, produced, and vocalized nine original songs for her debut album. The release includes singles like 'Turkoise' featuring hip-hop artist Damn Skippy and 'Float', as well as new tracks such as 'Inhale / Exhale' and 'Not Your Type'.
"I made this album for everyone who loves pop and reggae, and everyone who has been looking for a special blend of the two sounds," said Alyxandra. "A huge, heartfelt 'thank you' goes to everyone who has been following my story, watching me develop, and supporting me as an artist until this moment, as you have helped make Turkoise possible!"
The album offers a variety of themes and vibes, from breathing in good vibes and delighting in an island paradise to dealing with ungentlemanly bar etiquette and remaining unphased by bad days. Alyxandra's transition from a social media content creator to a mainstream music artist is notable, as it highlights the evolving landscape of the music industry where digital platforms play a crucial role in artist development.
Fans can also watch the new music video for 'Turkoise', further showcasing Alyxandra's unique blend of pop and reggae sounds. Her authenticity and emotional depth in both her lyrics and performances are likely to resonate with a wide audience, making her a rising star to watch in the music scene.
