American Fusion Inc. (OTC: AMFN) announced it has received a Certificate for Industrial Radiation Machines from the Texas Department of State Health Services, authorizing research and development activities involving its Texatron Fusion Engine systems at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. The registration, effective through Feb. 28, 2034, permits the company to receive, possess, acquire, transfer and use registered industrial radiation machines for research and development under Texas radiation control regulations.

According to the company, the authorization supports planned engineering, prototype testing and validation activities. American Fusion stated that no other known material regulatory approvals are required to conduct planned testing of its 5 MW Texatron Fusion Engine at the approved research site. This milestone marks a significant step forward for the company as it advances development of its neutronic fusion platform designed for modular, infrastructure-grade deployment across industrial, commercial, and grid-constrained applications.

The registration covers 12 registered research systems ranging from 500 kW to 1 GW, establishing the regulatory framework for continued engineering refinement, prototype testing, calibration, diagnostic evaluation and technical validation. American Fusion said it plans to provide additional updates as future engineering, operational and regulatory milestones are achieved.

This development is important because it removes a key regulatory barrier, allowing American Fusion to proceed with hands-on testing of its fusion technology at a major university.
