TL;DR

Angkor Resources' discovery of a second drill target in Cambodia's Block VIII provides potential first-mover advantage in developing significant oil and gas reserves ahead of competitors.

EnerCam identified a second anticline through 2-D seismic analysis, revealing a 60 square kilometer four-way closure structure at 900-1200 meters depth in Central Bokor Basin.

This energy discovery supports Cambodia's economic development while Angkor maintains environmental commitments through carbon capture projects and cleaner energy solutions.

Seismic technology revealed a massive underground structure in Cambodia with bright spots indicating potential oil and gas reserves spanning 60 square kilometers.

Angkor Resources Identifies Second Major Oil and Gas Drill Target in Cambodia's Block VIII

Angkor Resources Corp. has announced the identification of a second drill target for oil and gas exploration on its Block VIII in Cambodia through its subsidiary EnerCam Resources Co. Ltd. The new Central Bokor Lead represents a second anticline in the Central Bokor Basin, identified through the company's recently completed 2-D seismic program.

The Central Bokor structure shows clear four-way closure at depths of approximately 900-1200 meters, similar to the previously identified South Bokor structure. Keith Edwards, Technical Manager for EnerCam, noted that the structure shows hints of East West faulting and possibly three separate high points on the overall structure. The seismic coverage provides confidence of a four-way closure covering approximately 60 square kilometers.

This discovery is significant as it doubles the potential drilling opportunities identified from the seismic program. CEO Delayne Weeks expressed that identifying two anticlines with clear drilling targets while still awaiting processing and interpretation from additional seismic lines represents extremely positive progress for the company. The South Bokor structure covers up to 48 square kilometers of closure, while the Central Bokor structure covers approximately 60 square kilometers.

The company continues to build its drilling plan as additional seismic data becomes available, with processing and interpretation ongoing across all 24 lines of completed seismic. The identification of multiple viable drilling targets enhances the project's potential for successful energy development in Cambodia.

The Block VIII project covers just over 4270 square kilometers after the company removed parks and protected areas and added 220 square kilometers to the original 7300 square kilometer license. This strategic approach demonstrates the company's commitment to responsible resource development while maximizing exploration potential.
