Angkor Resources Launches 2,800-Meter Diamond Drill Program at Andong Bor Copper-Gold Target in Cambodia

Angkor Resources Corp. (TSXV: ANK) announced the start of a 2,800-meter diamond drilling program at its Andong Bor copper-gold target in Cambodia, with the initial phase of 1,200 meters in three holes beginning June 24, 2026. The program targets the Thmei North copper anomaly, a one-square-kilometer zone identified through prior exploration.

The drilling is staged around Cambodia's seasonal cycles. The first three holes, each 400 meters deep, will be drilled during the current dry-season window before heavy rains begin. The remaining 1,600 meters are planned for early 2027, after fields dry and crops are harvested. This approach ensures access and minimizes disruption to local agriculture.

The holes are oriented to the east to better intersect mineralized beds. According to the company, 2025 drilling revealed that the main structures controlling mineralization strike north-northwest and dip steeply to the west. By drilling eastward, the company aims to cross the mineralized beds rather than drill along them, maximizing interception of copper-rich potassic-altered sediments adjacent to feldspar porphyry diorite dikes. VP Exploration Dennis Ouellette explained: "The best copper sits in the potassic-altered sediments next to the feldspar porphyry dikes, and an eastward orientation lets us cut the most of that favorable host as we pass in and out of the intrusive dikes."

Core from the drilling will be logged, photographed, and sampled, with selected intervals sent for assay as the program progresses. The Andong Bor license covers 100.28 square kilometers across Oddar Meanchey and Banteay Meanchey provinces.

This program is significant for Cambodia's mining sector, as it represents continued investment in the country's mineral potential. Success at Thmei North could delineate a copper-gold resource, attracting further exploration and development. The company also holds interests in oil and gas through its subsidiary EnerCam Resources, which is advancing onshore exploration in Block VIII.

Thmei South, another target on the license, requires further auger soil geochemistry to extend the copper anomaly and will be the focus of subsequent drill programs.

The qualified person for the technical disclosure is Dennis Ouellette, B.Sc., P.Geo., a member of APEGA and VP Exploration for the company.
