AtlantisChain Hits 1.1 Billion Blocks in 410 Days, Claiming Fastest Blockchain Title

AtlantisChain, a Layer-0 public blockchain, has reached a significant milestone by surpassing 1.1 billion blocks in just 410 days of operation, according to a press release issued on July 31, 2026. The block height hit 1,100,000,014 at 10:16 AM Pacific Time on July 30, 2026, a feat that underscores its claim as the world's fastest blockchain in terms of block height, block time, finality, and transactions per second (TPS).

This achievement comes approximately eight months after AtlantisChain was recognized as the world's fastest blockchain on November 27, 2025, a distinction covered by over 400 media outlets across the United States and reaching audiences in 51 countries. The latest data shows AtlantisChain's block height is 265.54% of Solana's, 973.09% of BNB Smart Chain's, and 4289.04% of Ethereum's, despite those networks launching years earlier—Solana in March 2020, BNB in September 2020, and Ethereum in July 2015.

The press release highlights that AtlantisChain has surpassed the block heights of all existing blockchains since Bitcoin's emergence in January 2009. Within its first 179 days of operation, it exceeded the block heights of major networks, including Bitcoin in 9 hours, Ethereum in 8 days, and Solana in 145 days. This rapid progress is attributed to its ultra-fast block time of 0.031 seconds, which is significantly shorter than other chains, allowing it to pull further ahead continuously.

Beyond speed, AtlantisChain emphasizes its security as the only quantum-resistant blockchain in the Web3 space as of Q2 2026. Built on the Proof of Light (PoL) algorithm and incorporating quantum technology and AI-contract architecture, it claims to protect against quantum computing threats. Unlike Bitcoin and Ethereum, where transactions can be canceled or modified before final confirmation, AtlantisChain transactions are final and non-reversible, with a finality time of 0.031 seconds, leaving no room for hackers to compromise transactions.

The network has also launched over 100 ATC-20 standard cryptocurrencies, including stablecoins such as Atlantis Gold (AU), Atlantis Silver (AG), Atlantis Oil (OIL), the Chinese Yuan-indexed CNY Coin (CNYC), the U.S. dollar-indexed Atlantis USD (USDA), and the British Pound-indexed Atlantis GBP (GBPA). These digital assets are designed to support global trade and store of value, with CNYC, USDA, and GBPA set to be payment currencies in the Atlantis Exchange Pro system.

According to the release, several country authorities are in the process of joining AtlantisChain to support their global trade efforts, signaling a potential shift from traditional finance to a digital economy from a governmental perspective. This development could have significant implications for international commerce and the adoption of blockchain technology in state-level operations.

The milestone also brings attention to AtlantisChain's unique features, including Atlantis Time (AT), a sovereign time system parallel to Earth time, and its USPTO-registered trademark Atlantis Coin®. The blockchain's architecture, developed by an MIT-rooted team in the United States, positions it as a leader in the Web3 space, with projections to exceed 1 billion global users by 2030.

As the blockchain industry continues to evolve, AtlantisChain's rapid ascent raises questions about the future of scalability and security in decentralized networks. Its ability to achieve such high performance in a short period may set new standards for what is possible in blockchain technology, potentially influencing the development of future networks and the adoption of digital currencies in global trade.
