AtlantisChain Surpasses 1 Billion Blocks in 373 Days, Claims World's Fastest Blockchain Title

AtlantisChain, a Layer-0 public blockchain claiming 3.6 million transactions per second (TPS) and a 0.031-second block time, has surpassed 1 billion blocks after just 373 days of operation. The milestone occurred at 11:13 a.m. Pacific Time on June 22, 2026, with a recorded block height of 1,000,000,034, according to a press release from the company.

This achievement comes approximately seven months after AtlantisChain was recognized as the world's fastest blockchain on November 27, 2025, a distinction covered by more than 400 media outlets across 51 countries. In comparison, Solana, which launched in March 2020, had a block height of 406,286,685; BNB Smart Chain, launched in September 2020, had 105,763,073; and Ethereum, launched in July 2015, had 25,374,757. AtlantisChain's block height is 246% of Solana's, 945% of BNB Smart Chain's, and 3,940% of Ethereum's.

AtlantisChain attributes its rapid growth to its significantly shorter block time, which allows it to pull further ahead of other blockchains over time. The company claims that no other blockchain has been able to compete with its actual performance since late 2025, and it is the world's first blockchain to reach a block height of 1 billion since Bitcoin's emergence in 2009.

In its first 179 days of operation, AtlantisChain surpassed the block heights of all existing blockchains, including Bitcoin (within 9 hours), Ethereum (8 days), BNB Chain (18 days), and Solana (145 days). The blockchain is built on the Proof of Light (PoL) algorithm and incorporates quantum-resistant technology, which the company says makes it the most secure among all blockchains as of Q2 2026. Unlike Proof of Work or Proof of Stake networks, AtlantisChain is designed to be immune to quantum-computing threats, with transactions finalizing in 0.031 seconds and being irreversible.

AtlantisChain has launched over 100 ATC-20 standard cryptocurrencies, including stablecoins such as Atlantis Gold (AU), Atlantis Silver (AG), and the world's first Chinese Yuan–indexed stablecoin, CNY Coin (CNYC). Other stablecoins include Atlantis USD (USDA) and Atlantis GBP (GBPA), which will be used as payment currencies in the Atlantis Exchange Pro system.

The company states that several country authorities are in the process of joining AtlantisChain to support global trade, marking a shift from traditional finance to a digital economy. AtlantisChain's development team, rooted at MIT, aims to revolutionize blockchain technology and commerce. Key features include Atlantis Time (AT), a sovereign time system parallel to Earth time, and the Atlantis Wallet with QuantumLock security. The blockchain's explorer is available at ATCscan.io, and the wallet at AtlantisWallet.org.

AtlantisChain, which began operations in April 2025, is designed for real-time decentralized applications and commercial payments with near-zero transaction fees. The company projects its native token, Atlantis Coin (ATC), will serve over 1 billion users by 2030. For more information, visit AtlantisChain.org.
