Atlas Lithium Corporation (NASDAQ: ATLX) is making significant progress toward environmentally sustainable lithium concentrate production, with its 100%-owned hard-rock lithium project in Brazil nearing a critical milestone. The company is preparing to ship its modular dense media separation (DMS) lithium processing plant from South Africa to Brazil’s mineral-rich state of Minas Gerais.

The modular plant represents a pioneering approach in Brazil’s lithium industry. DMS technology, which utilizes a dense liquid medium to separate minerals by density, is a proven method in lithium processing. Over recent weeks, Atlas Lithium has closely monitored the plant’s final preparation stages in South Africa, with technical personnel from RTEK overseeing the process. To date, 48 containers have been prepared, with the total expected to exceed 100 before the plant embarks on its journey from Durban to Santos, Brazil. The DMS modules have undergone trial assembly to ensure seamless integration before disassembly and shipping. Upgraded effluent systems for enhanced water efficiency and integral conveyors are among the final components being completed, highlighting Atlas Lithium’s commitment to exceeding industry standards.

Brian Talbot, a principal at RTEK and a member of Atlas Lithium’s Operations Committee, emphasized the project’s significance during a recent inspection visit. He stated, “Atlas Lithium’s modular plant represents a significant step for Brazil's lithium industry, and our direct involvement ensures that every detail is accounted for as we ship it to Brazil.”

Atlas Lithium’s broader strategy extends beyond initiating lithium production. The company has expanded its exploration portfolio in Brazil to cover approximately 539 square kilometers or 133,294 acres, making it a key player in Brazil’s growing lithium sector. This portfolio includes resources in other critical and battery metals such as nickel, rare earth elements, titanium, graphite, and copper.
