The Exit Planning Institute (EPI) Austin Chapter is set to host its annual Business Owner Round Table on September 9, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Salt Traders Restaurant in Austin, Texas. The event aims to equip area business owners and their advisors with practical strategies for long-term growth and successful ownership transition.
According to Joe Calao, President of EPI Austin, the round table is specifically tailored to the needs of Austin-area entrepreneurs. “Each year, this event brings together business owners and top exit planning professionals from the Austin area to share challenges and insights on growth and exit strategies,” he said. The half-day event will feature interactive sessions and expert-led workshops covering topics such as leadership development, team empowerment, organizational resilience, AI utilization, and tax planning for business owners.
A highlight of the afternoon will be a presentation by Brett Hurt, a serial creator, business owner, and exiter, who will discuss his latest book, Entrepreneurs Essentials. All registered attendees will receive a free copy of the book.
The round table is designed to help business owners maximize their companies' potential in today's dynamic marketplace. By focusing on both growth and exit planning, the sessions aim to provide actionable insights that can increase business value and prepare owners for eventual ownership transitions. This is particularly important as many business owners approach retirement age, and the transfer of privately held businesses is expected to rise significantly in the coming years.
For advisors, the event offers an opportunity to learn how to better serve their business-owner clients and become their most valued advisors. The EPI's Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA) credential program is the most widely endorsed professional exit planning program in the world, providing advisors with the content, tools, and training needed to engage business owners effectively.
The Business Owner Round Table will take place at Salt Traders Restaurant, located at 1101 S MoPac Expy, Austin, TX 78746. Interested individuals can learn more and register on the EPI website.
