AZIO AI Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: AZIO) has announced the activation of Atlas One, the first named development phase of its Project Atlas, a more than 548-acre compute infrastructure campus in South Texas. The campus is engineered to support up to 500 MW of planned behind-the-meter power capacity, positioning it as a major hub for power-intensive AI and high-performance computing workloads.
The company revealed that approximately 6 MW of compute infrastructure, part of about 11 MW of secured behind-the-meter power capacity, has been activated and achieved approximately 97.8% uptime. This initial phase brings together land, power, connectivity, and modular compute infrastructure that the company has been developing since May 2026. The planned capacity of up to 500 MW would be additional to the 11 MW secured to date, underscoring the scale of AZIO's ambitions in the rapidly growing AI infrastructure sector.
AZIO is deploying capital, equipment, and engineering resources toward the initial 11 MW phase, which includes additional compute containers, generation, electrical infrastructure, natural gas pipeline and metering work, fiber, and site improvements. The company intends subsequent phases to support AI/GPU hosting, high-performance computing, and dedicated customer capacity, while retaining designated capacity for company-operated Bitcoin mining. This dual focus on AI and cryptocurrency mining reflects a strategic approach to maximizing the value of its power resources.
Connectivity is a critical component of the campus. Atlas One has dedicated enterprise fiber under a Master Services Agreement with AT&T, with approximately $2.4 million committed for high-capacity connectivity. This partnership ensures that the campus can support the data-intensive demands of AI workloads, making it an attractive location for potential customers.
The realization of the planned additional capacity will require further generation, equipment, permitting, financing, and customer commitments. This highlights the phased approach of the project, which allows AZIO to scale its infrastructure in response to market demand and secure necessary resources incrementally.
AZIO AI Holdings, formerly Envirotech Vehicles, Inc. (Nasdaq: EVTV), is developing an integrated compute infrastructure platform spanning GPU and compute system sales, energy-backed AI and high-density compute infrastructure, hosting, and company-operated Bitcoin mining. Through Project Atlas, the company is developing behind-the-meter, power-backed campuses in Texas intended to support power-intensive compute workloads as additional generation, connectivity, customer commitments, and capital are secured.
The activation of Atlas One is a significant milestone for AZIO and the broader AI infrastructure industry. As demand for AI computing power continues to surge, projects like Atlas One are essential to providing the necessary physical and power infrastructure. The campus's scale and strategic location in Texas, known for its deregulated energy market and renewable resources, position it to play a key role in meeting this demand. For investors and industry observers, this development signals AZIO's commitment to becoming a major player in the AI compute space, with potential implications for the company's growth and the regional economy.
