Newport Beach-based law firm Bick Law LLP has expanded its environmental legal practice by hiring Tyler Alexander, a seasoned trial attorney with seven years of experience in the U.S. Department of Justice's Environment and Natural Resources Division.
Alexander brings a comprehensive background in federal environmental law, having defended high-profile government permits and projects across federal courts nationwide. His expertise encompasses complex legal domains including border security, mineral and oil and gas development, and wildfire mitigation strategies.
With specialized knowledge of numerous federal environmental statutes, Alexander offers deep technical understanding of regulations governing land use, conservation, and resource management. His professional experience includes intricate work with the National Environmental Policy Act, Federal Land Policy and Management Act, and the Endangered Species Act.
Kimberly Bick, co-managing partner, highlighted the strategic importance of Alexander's recruitment, noting that his addition provides the firm with enhanced subject matter expertise, particularly in water resources law and environmental compliance.
The recruitment comes as Bick Law LLP celebrates its tenth anniversary and recent recognition in the Chambers Spotlight California 2025 Guide for environmental legal services in Orange County. Alexander's background, which includes litigation experience in water rights matters and representation in Fifth Amendment takings trials, positions the firm to offer more comprehensive environmental legal solutions.
Prior to joining Bick Law, Alexander served as a judicial clerk on the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, further establishing his credentials in complex environmental and administrative law. His multifaceted experience spans defending government initiatives, navigating regulatory frameworks, and providing strategic legal counsel in environmentally sensitive matters.
This strategic hiring underscores Bick Law LLP's commitment to maintaining a sophisticated, highly specialized environmental law practice capable of addressing increasingly complex regulatory challenges across multiple industries.
