BreastHab Rebrands as Thera Rehab, Expanding Identity While Retaining Specialized Care in Midtown Manhattan

A specialized rehabilitation practice in Midtown Manhattan has officially changed its name from BreastHab to Thera Rehab Physical and Occupational Therapy, a move that updates the clinic's public identity without altering its clinical focus on breast cancer recovery, lymphedema therapy, and post-surgical rehabilitation.

The practice, located at 115 West 30th Street, continues to offer the same one-to-one session model that distinguishes it from larger rehabilitation centers. Under the new name, patients will still receive specialized care for conditions including post-mastectomy recovery, axillary web syndrome, post-implant mobility restrictions, scar tissue management, mastitis, and lymphedema. The clinic serves patients from all five boroughs of New York City as well as New Jersey and Connecticut, drawing on its proximity to Penn Station and major oncology centers.

The rebrand was motivated by the recognition that the previous name did not fully capture the breadth of conditions treated. Lymphedema management, for instance, extends beyond breast cancer to include patients recovering from other oncological surgeries, cosmetic and reconstructive procedures, vascular insufficiency, and other fluid retention disorders. The new name, Thera Rehab, is intended to reflect this expanded clinical scope while preserving the specialized nature of the practice.

Sabrina Rana Vaishnavi, MPT CLT, co-founder of Thera Rehab, stated: "The rebrand allows us to more accurately represent the full range of care we provide - from breast cancer rehabilitation and lymphedema therapy to cosmetic surgery recovery and mastitis treatment - while keeping our Midtown Manhattan location as the anchor for patients across the region. Every session remains one-to-one with a licensed therapist who brings specialized, hands-on expertise to each unique recovery journey."

Thera Rehab offers services in breast cancer rehabilitation, including pre-hab, post-surgical scar tissue mobilization, and range-of-motion restoration. Lymphedema therapy includes Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT), manual lymphatic drainage, and compression garment fitting. The clinic also supports recovery from cosmetic and reconstructive surgeries such as DIEP flap reconstruction, liposuction, abdominoplasty, body lifts, breast augmentation, mommy makeovers, and breast reductions. Additional treatments cover axillary web syndrome, mastitis and clogged milk ducts, scar management, and lymphatic care.

All sessions are conducted one-to-one, with each patient working directly with their assigned therapist. The clinical team includes Certified Lymphedema Therapists (CLTs) and Certified Cosmetic Surgery Therapists (CCSTs) with advanced training in oncology rehabilitation and manual therapy.

The practice is open Monday through Friday, 7am to 7pm, and accepts a range of insurance providers for covered conditions including lymphedema management. Patients who previously visited under the BreastHab name have been notified directly, and all medical records and treatment plans remain unchanged. The rebranding applies only to the clinic's name, digital presence, and patient-facing materials.
