Brooklyn Tabernacle's Jim and Carol Cymbala to Host Fresh Wind, Fresh Fire Conference in October 2026

The Brooklyn Tabernacle announced Thursday that Pastor Jim Cymbala and Carol Cymbala will host the Fresh Wind, Fresh Fire Conference from October 2 to 4, 2026, at the church's location in Brooklyn, New York. The event aims to refresh and equip those serving in ministry through two specialized tracks: one for pastors, ministry leaders, and lay workers, and another for worship leaders, choir members, and music ministry teams.

The teaching track will focus on biblical encouragement and collective prayer, while the music track will equip participants to cultivate deeper spiritual impact through music and worship. Attendees in the music track will have the rare opportunity to rehearse and sing with the Grammy Award-winning Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir, gaining hands-on experience in a world-class worship environment.

Pastor Jim Cymbala, who has served as senior pastor of the Brooklyn Tabernacle for more than five decades, emphasized the conference's purpose. 'I've had the privilege of pastoring for more than five decades, and I know firsthand the challenges and blessings of ministry,' he said in a statement. 'The Fresh Wind, Fresh Fire Conference is about helping leaders and worship teams go home with a renewed heart and a fresh fire for what God has called them to do.'

Cymbala is widely recognized for his best-selling books, including Fresh Wind, Fresh Fire, Fan the Flame, and Jesus Every Day, which have sold millions of copies and been translated worldwide. Carol Cymbala, director of the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir, has led the choir to seven Grammy Awards, earning global recognition for heartfelt, Spirit-led worship. 'Music is a powerful tool for ministry,' she said. 'My prayer is that every worship leader, singer, and musician who attends will encounter God's presence in a life-changing way.'

The conference is designed to address the challenges and blessings of ministry, offering practical insights and dynamic worship services. With a focus on prayer and biblical teaching, the event seeks to inspire attendees to deepen their commitment to their calling. Registration is now open at the Brooklyn Tabernacle's website.

The announcement comes at a time when many ministry leaders and worship teams are seeking renewal and practical guidance. By providing both spiritual encouragement and hands-on training, the Fresh Wind, Fresh Fire Conference aims to meet a critical need in the Christian community. The event's dual tracks allow participants to focus on their specific areas of service, whether in leadership or music ministry.
