Charbone Corporation (TSXV: CH; OTCQB: CHHYF; FSE: K47), a vertically integrated industrial gases company focused on clean ultra-high purity (UHP) hydrogen, announced the delivery of its electrolyzer to its flagship site in Sorel-Tracy, Quebec. This milestone is a critical step in Phase 1B of the project, which aims to increase the company's clean UHP hydrogen production capacity to meet growing demand from industrial customers.
The electrolyzer, which produces hydrogen through water electrolysis, is the technological core of the next production phase. Its arrival enables Charbone's teams, construction contractors, and technical partners to begin positioning, installation, and integration into the site's infrastructure. Civil engineering work and foundation preparation have been planned to accommodate the equipment, and activities will proceed according to the company's execution schedule, including component assembly, mechanical and electrical connections, testing, and commissioning.
Dave Gagnon, President and CEO of Charbone, expressed pride in the achievement: "It is with immense pride that we announce the arrival of our electrolyzer in Sorel-Tracy today. This is far more than the delivery of a piece of equipment; it represents the achievement of a pivotal step in realizing our vision and one of the most important milestones in the Company's history. The risks associated with delivery are now behind us." He added that the company's previously communicated timeline of a fall launch remains on track.
This development is part of Charbone's modular and phased strategy, allowing the company to add production capacity in line with demand while maintaining a disciplined approach. The Sorel-Tracy site is central to Charbone's plan to produce and distribute clean UHP hydrogen for sectors such as semiconductors, artificial intelligence and data centers, advanced pharmaceuticals, and aerospace and defense technologies, where UHP gases are critical for high-precision manufacturing.
The delivery of the electrolyzer is significant not only for Charbone but also for the broader hydrogen industry, as it demonstrates tangible progress in scaling up clean hydrogen production infrastructure. By advancing its flagship project, Charbone aims to address supply gaps for underserved industrial customers and contribute to the transition to a lower-carbon economy. The company's decentralized, demand-driven model supports scalable growth and enhances operational flexibility, enabling more stable revenue generation.
Charbone is listed on the TSX Venture Exchange, OTC Markets, and Frankfurt Stock Exchange. The company continues to execute its development plan, with next steps including commissioning and ramp-up. Further updates are expected as the project progresses.
