LOS ANGELES — Families from across Los Angeles gathered on July 4, 2026, at the Church of Scientology of Los Angeles' Stars and Stripes Summer Festival to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States' independence. The event, held on L. Ron Hubbard Way, offered a day of carnival games, water slides, and summer activities that drew both regular attendees and first-time guests, including newcomers to the neighborhood and visitors from outside California.

As the sun set, the festivities continued with a concert emceed by actor and comedian Jim Meskimen and actress Amrapali Ambegaokar.
