CollectionPro Surpasses 1,000 IDR Case Filings, Highlighting Growing Demand for Out-of-Network Recovery Expertise

CollectionPro, a provider specializing in out-of-network billing and collection services, announced that it has surpassed 1,000 Independent Dispute Resolution (IDR) case filings under the No Surprises Act. The milestone reflects the rising demand for dedicated out-of-network reimbursement support as healthcare providers navigate an increasingly complex payment environment.

When the No Surprises Act took effect, the process for pursuing reimbursement for out-of-network services changed significantly. Providers now must manage payer negotiations, prepare arbitration submissions, meet federal filing deadlines, and often pursue payment even after an arbitration decision is issued. For many healthcare organizations, these responsibilities require expertise beyond traditional medical billing.

Recognizing this shift, CollectionPro has built its business exclusively around out-of-network reimbursement. The company offers services including payer negotiations, appeals management, IDR support, post-award collections, and resolving old aging accounts receivable. By managing the entire reimbursement process, CollectionPro enables providers to reduce administrative workload while pursuing appropriate payment for out-of-network care.

“Our clients come to us because they don’t want to build an internal team to handle a process that has become increasingly specialized,” said David Nissanoff, spokesperson for CollectionPro. “Managing IDR cases isn’t just about filing paperwork. It requires understanding payer strategies, documentation requirements, federal timelines, and how each case should be presented. That’s where our experience makes a difference.”

The company credits much of its growth to its dedicated in-house IDR team, which manages cases from initial review through arbitration and recovery. To make specialized support more accessible, CollectionPro operates on a contingency-based model. Providers pay no arbitration fees or administrative fees; fees are only charged when reimbursement is successfully recovered.

Since entering the out-of-network reimbursement space, CollectionPro has reported a 92% recovery success rate, working with orthopedic practices, plastic surgery groups, breast reconstruction specialists, ambulatory surgery centers, trauma providers, anesthesiology groups, and other organizations where out-of-network claims represent a meaningful portion of revenue.

According to Nissanoff, many providers are now rethinking their approach to out-of-network reimbursement. “Three years ago, many practices tried to manage these cases internally because the volume was manageable; today, regulations are more complex, documentation expectations have increased, and arbitration has become a specialized function. Providers are increasingly looking for partners who deal with these cases every day.”

Industry observers expect demand for out-of-network reimbursement expertise to continue growing as the IDR process evolves and payer scrutiny increases. CollectionPro believes this trend will encourage healthcare organizations to seek partners with dedicated experience rather than relying solely on traditional medical billing resources.

Surpassing 1,000 IDR case filings represents an important milestone for the company, but CollectionPro says its primary focus remains helping providers recover revenue that might otherwise be delayed, underpaid, or left uncollected.
