Create Source Media, in collaboration with international distribution affiliate FUGA, has announced the launch of the '2Way Love Ends Violence' International music challenge. This initiative accompanies the release of the powerful World performance anthem '2Way Love Ends Violence,' featuring Nigerian rapper and singer-songwriter Ejay Jemi and South African-Australian rapper, and songwriter Mkada, available on all digital platforms from August 19, 2024.
The song '2Way Love Ends Violence' carries a compelling message against violence, symbolized through Ejay Jemi's chorus, 'Stop the violence, give back to people, we mean no evil, love is 2Way,' and Mkada's verses highlighting the devastating impact of violence on youth. The lyrics advocate for mutual respect and love as solutions to violence, making the initiative highly relevant in today's social context.
To amplify this message, Create Source Media invites artists worldwide to participate in the '2Way Love Ends Violence' music challenge. Participants are encouraged to submit videos performing 8 bars that narrate their personal stories of how love, reciprocated, can cure violence. These submissions can be in any language and must avoid profanity and hate speech, instead focusing on positive and impactful messages.
Select entries will be showcased on Create Source Media's Instagram and website, providing participants with significant exposure. Chosen artists will also have the opportunity to be featured on the '2Way Love Ends Violence: The People Have Spoken' Remix and will be highlighted on Create Source Media's blog, further promoting their commitment to spreading love and ending violence.
'Our goal with this challenge is to inspire a global conversation through music about the importance of mutual respect and understanding as a path to ending violence,' said Curtis Johnson, Executive Creator of Create Source Media. 'We believe that by giving artists a platform to share their voices, we can create a ripple effect that brings about real change.'
Participants are to record an 8-bar video expressing their story of how love can end violence, ensuring their lyrics are free of profanity and hate speech and include subtitles. They should submit their videos via Instagram by tagging @CreateSourceMedia and @Ejay_Jemi, and using the hashtag #2WayLoveEndsViolenceChallenge, among others. Those selected will receive a $50 donation to the charity of their choice, a merchandise package worth $100, and a feature on the '2Way Love Ends Violence' Remix with a $100 advance.
