Crisp & Chew to Open Georgetown Storefront June 16 After Sold-Out Soft Opening

Crisp & Chew, the artisan bakery known for elevating the oatmeal cookie, will host its official grand opening celebration on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at 11:30 AM at 1612 Williams Dr, Georgetown, TX. The event follows a highly successful soft opening on May 7 that saw several menu items completely sell out.

The celebration will feature a ribbon-cutting ceremony, complimentary handcrafted cookies, refreshments, and exclusive giveaways. Attendees will have the chance to sample the bakery’s signature menu, which includes rotating flavors such as Almond Croissant, Lemon Raspberry, Carrot Cake, Peach Cobbler, Brown Butter Double Chocolate Chip, Cookie Butter, and the fan-favorite Salted Caramel Creme Pies.

Founded by Sarah Davis and Qudduws Ware, Crisp & Chew began as a passion project rooted in nostalgia and comfort. The duo started by baking small batches for local farmers markets, quickly generating a loyal following across Georgetown, Austin, and surrounding cities. “We wanted to create something that felt nostalgic but elevated,” said co-founder Sarah Davis. “Everything we bake focuses on texture, balance, and joy. We craft crisp edges, chewy centers, and thoughtful flavors to create moments that bring people together.”

The bakery’s rotating menu includes monthly limited-edition creations inspired by family traditions. Popular offerings like Mom’s Birthday Cake and Dad’s Maple Nut have become some of the most requested items. Beyond cookies, the storefront specializes in handcrafted oatmeal creme pies, custom cookie cakes, cookie-crust cheesecakes, and “cookie rolls” — cinnamon roll-inspired pastries stuffed with signature cookie dough.

The new storefront represents nearly a year of construction, permitting, and recipe refinement, with local support anchoring the business throughout. “Our community has truly built this alongside us,” said co-owner Qudduws Ware. “From our early days at the Wolf Ranch Farmers Market to opening these storefront doors, the support has been overwhelming. We are incredibly grateful and excited to welcome everyone to our permanent home.”

The grand opening marks a significant milestone for the bakery, which started as a farmers market favorite and has now transitioned to a brick-and-mortar location. The event underscores the growing demand for artisanal baked goods in the Georgetown area and highlights the importance of community support in small business success.
