The 2024 Future Innovation Tech Expo (FIX 2024) has launched in Daegu, Korea, marking a significant milestone in the country's technology exhibition landscape. Running from October 23 to 26 at Daegu EXCO, the event has drawn 463 companies and features over 2,071 booths, making it the largest of its kind in Korea. The expo aims to showcase cutting-edge technologies across various sectors, including future mobility, robotics, and ABB (AI, Big Data, Blockchain).

Under the theme "Innovative Technology for a Better Future," FIX 2024 has attracted global tech giants such as Tesla, Hyundai Mobis, ABB Korea, SK, and KT. The event's comprehensive scope is further enhanced by an international conference featuring industry leaders like Nvidia and RoMeLa, offering attendees insights into global innovation trends.

The expo is strategically divided into two main sections. The East Wing focuses on mobility, showcasing electric, hydrogen, and autonomous vehicles, along with essential components and infrastructure. Visitors can explore offerings from major automotive players like Tesla, Hyundai, Kia, Samsung SDI, and GM. A highlight of this section is the Urban Air Mobility (UAM) pavilion, organized in collaboration with SKT, the Korea Airports Corporation, and Hanwha Systems, where attendees can experience a life-size UAM simulator.

The West Wing houses exhibitions on robotics, ABB technologies, and introduces the new Startup Arena. The robotics section features prominent companies such as HD Hyundai Robotics, ABB Korea, and Fraunhofer IML. It also marks the Korean debut of RoMeLa's bipedal robot, ARTEMIS. The ABB section showcases innovations from tech leaders including SK, KT, AWS, LVIS, and ESTsoft, complemented by immersive experiences with The Sandbox's Apple Vision Pro and XR gaming content from Skonec Entertainment.

Mayor Hong Joon-Pyo of Daegu emphasized the significance of FIX 2024, stating, "Today, industry boundaries are fading, with rapid shifts toward technological convergence. FIX 2024 is a specialized exhibition where visitors can witness the forefront of advanced industries driven by innovation." He highlighted the event's impressive scale, featuring over 400 exhibitors in its inaugural year, along with comprehensive conference and business programs involving more than 80 global experts.

The mayor's vision for FIX extends beyond its current scope. "I hope this event, beginning this year, will evolve into a world-renowned platform for applied technology, comparable to CES in the United States," he stated, setting ambitious goals for the expo's future.

FIX 2024's structure encompasses specialized exhibitions, conferences, and business programs centered on mobility, robotics, AI, and startups. The Daegu International Future Auto & Mobility Expo 2024 in the East Wing showcases trends in UAM, autonomous driving, batteries, components, and services. Concurrently, the 2024 ICT Convergence Expo Korea in the West Wing exhibits AI, big data, blockchain, ICT, and metaverse technologies. The 2024 Daegu Robot Expo displays industrial robots, humanoid robots, and digital transformation solutions for the robotics industry.

A notable addition to this year's event is the "Start-up Arena," designed to facilitate connections between startups and experts from accelerators like Samsung C-Lab and Plug and Play. This initiative underscores FIX 2024's commitment to fostering innovation and supporting emerging technologies.
