Doral's vibrant community celebrated female leadership and entrepreneurship during the Extraordinary Women USA 2025 ceremony, an annual event that recognizes remarkable Latina professionals who are driving change and innovation across multiple industries.
Mayor Christi Fraga set the tone for the evening by delivering a compelling address that underscored the pivotal role women play in business and community development. Her remarks emphasized leadership, resilience, and the importance of supporting women-led enterprises, particularly through local financial assistance programs.
The event, hosted by journalist Nancy Clara at Il Forno restaurant, honored 13 exceptional women from diverse professional backgrounds. Honorees represented fields including business, health, culture, and philanthropy, showcasing the multifaceted contributions of Latina professionals in contemporary society.
Recognized women included entrepreneurs, public figures, and community leaders such as Evelyn Reynoso, Kristen Umanzor, and Xiomara Navarro, among others. Their inclusion reflects the event's commitment to celebrating women who consistently demonstrate excellence and drive meaningful social impact.
The ceremony was made possible through the support of numerous sponsors, including Armani Cosmetics & Dillards, Archangel Brokers, and the Mayte Prida Foundation. These organizations' involvement highlights the growing recognition of women's professional achievements and the importance of creating platforms for visibility and networking.
Originating in Miami in 2016, Extraordinary Women USA has evolved from a local initiative to an international platform. The program, created by Hispanic Target Magazine, has expanded its reach, including a special edition in Buenos Aires in 2023 that celebrated women making significant global contributions.
By providing a dedicated space for recognition and connection, the event serves a crucial role in amplifying women's voices, sharing success stories, and inspiring future generations of female leaders. The annual ceremony not only honors individual achievements but also reinforces the collective strength and potential of women in professional environments.
