Dynamics Square USA, a Microsoft Solutions Partner, announced the successful upgrade of a South Carolina-based recycling and materials recovery organization from Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2018 to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central SaaS. The project aimed to replace aging on-premises infrastructure with a cloud environment to enhance inventory visibility, financial reporting, and operational scalability.

The recycling organization manages scrap metals, electronics, vehicles, and consumer recyclables while coordinating daily material intake, outbound shipments, procurement, and financial operations. Its previous on-premises NAV system created limitations related to reporting, system maintenance, scalability, and Microsoft 365 connectivity. The upgrade to Business Central SaaS addresses these issues by providing structured workflows, dependable inventory tracking, cleaner operational coordination, and improved reporting visibility across departments handling recycling operations.

Dynamics Square USA implemented a full upgrade covering finance, procurement, inventory management, warehouse activities, sales operations, approval workflows, and reporting capabilities. The engagement also prepared the organization for future Power BI reporting enhancements planned in the next phase of digital transformation. The implementation reduced reliance on spreadsheets and eliminated several server-related maintenance concerns tied to the previous infrastructure.
