ENEOS Showcases Performance Vehicles and New EV/Hybrid Fluids at SEMA 2024

ENEOS, Japan's leading oil company and a major supplier of motor oil and transmission fluids to Asian vehicle manufacturers, is set to make a splash at the 2024 SEMA Show in Las Vegas. The company's presence at booth #24133 in Central Hall will showcase its deep involvement in the performance aftermarket and high-performance motorsports, while also introducing new products designed for the evolving automotive landscape.

At the heart of ENEOS's display are four meticulously crafted vehicles that embody the company's dedication to performance. The booth will feature a widebody 1971 Datsun 240Z and a 1972 Toyota Celica, both boasting significant engine upgrades and modifications that are sure to captivate automotive enthusiasts. Additionally, two winners from ENEOS's annual Show Car Contest will be displayed in the outdoor area: a 1960 Renault Dauphine with a mid-engine VW VR6 conversion and an 1100hp Mk4 Toyota Supra.

The 1971 Datsun 240Z, known as the "Devil Z," is a collaboration between owner John Lau and designer Jon Sibal. Inspired by the anime manga series Wangan Midnight, the car features a muscular widebody styling and a highly modified Datsun 280ZX L28 engine bored to L30 specifications. The engine, lubricated by ENEOS products, is equipped with a Garrett G35-900 turbo and controlled by a Haltech 2500 ECU programmed for E85 fuel.

Stephan Papadakis, a veteran racer and Formula DRIFT team manager, will showcase his 1972 Toyota Celica. This barn find-turned-showpiece has been meticulously restored and upgraded, featuring a rare 18R-G four-cylinder engine rebuilt to 2.2 liters and producing 170hp. The Celica's restoration has garnered significant attention on social media, demonstrating the enduring appeal of classic Japanese performance cars.

ENEOS is not only celebrating the past and present of automotive performance but also looking to the future with the introduction of its new EV/Hybrid fluid line. The company is debuting four new products at SEMA 2024, including an e-Axle Fluid specifically developed for electrified vehicles. This innovative formulation offers superior thermal and oxidation breakdown resistance compared to traditional ATFs or gear oils, addressing the unique needs of electric and hybrid powertrains.

Additionally, ENEOS is launching a new 50/50 Antifreeze/Coolant designed for EV, Hybrid, and Plug-in-Hybrid vehicles, as well as conventional internal combustion engines. This high-performance coolant utilizes Hybrid Organic Acid Technology (HOAT) to provide complete protection for all cooling systems, including those cooling electronic components in electrified vehicles.

The presence of ENEOS at SEMA 2024 underscores the company's commitment to supporting both traditional performance vehicles and emerging automotive technologies. As the automotive industry continues to evolve, ENEOS is positioning itself as a key player in providing lubricants and fluids for a wide range of applications, from classic car restorations to cutting-edge electric vehicles.

For enthusiasts and industry professionals alike, ENEOS's booth at SEMA 2024 offers a unique opportunity to witness the intersection of automotive heritage and future innovation. The company's showcase not only highlights its current product offerings but also demonstrates its readiness to meet the changing needs of the global automotive market.
