eQuorum Introduces ScanNTap™ Technology for Enhanced Engineering Workflow and Document Management

eQuorum, a leading provider of engineering workflow and document management solutions, has announced the launch of ScanNTap. This innovative technology aims to enhance workflow and maintenance management processes across multiple industries by allowing users to easily access critical drawings and documents through the simple scan of a QR code, using any device such as tablets, smartphones, or laptops, without the need for an additional app.

ScanNTap enables engineering teams to generate custom QR codes that can be attached to equipment, facilities, piping, assemblies, or other assets. This feature facilitates quick identification and access to important documents and drawings, including specifications, O&M manuals, standard operating procedures, safety data sheets, and maintenance checklists. Scott Brandt, President and CEO of eQuorum, stated, "ScanNTap helps organizations achieve improved workflow and maintenance productivity by streamlining access and retrievability to important data and by automating workflows. This reduces the volume of paperwork and labor to locate and print it, as well as ensuring the data and information being utilized is the correct and most current."

By integrating ScanNTap, organizations can eliminate delays and errors caused by outdated or incorrect information. Brandt emphasized the significance of this technology in today's mobile and data-rich environment, highlighting that engineers, technicians, project managers, and construction crews no longer need to wait for documents or risk mistakes due to version issues.

ScanNTap is versatile and supports various industries, including manufacturing, facilities management, utilities and energy providers, and Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC). It aims to enhance operating, maintenance, and audit procedures by integrating checklists to track quality checkpoints, update equipment inspections and maintenance documents, capture operating and test results, and review equipment and assembly document sets. This functionality is beneficial for audits conducted in the field, on the production floor, and in facilities.

Additionally, ScanNTap provides quick access to compliance documentation for ISO and regulated organizations, supporting NIST audits, quality system testing, ITAR requirements, and other documents essential for in-field training, certification, and onboarding efforts.

ScanNTap will be available in Spring 2024 alongside Version 12.1 of eQuorum's ImageSite® and EngineBox™. This release marks a significant step forward in improving engineering workflow management and document accessibility for various sectors.
