KidzCare Pediatrics announced that Dr. Erika Pritchett, MD, an experienced board-eligible pediatrician, will join their Wilmington office beginning September 17th. Dr. Pritchett will see patients five days a week from Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., bringing significant expertise in both clinical pediatrics and global health leadership to the community.
Dr. Pritchett completed her pediatric residency at Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio, following her Doctor of Medicine and Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University. Most recently, she served as Chief Medical Officer for the Baret Scholars Program (International), where she oversaw global health risk systems, coordinated emergency protocols, and supported fellows across six continents.
Her addition holds particular significance for Wilmington families seeking healthcare that reflects community diversity. As a Black physician, Dr. Pritchett's presence strengthens KidzCare's commitment to providing accessible, family-centered medicine where every family feels represented and supported. This appointment addresses the critical need for diverse medical representation, which research shows improves healthcare outcomes and patient trust in underserved communities.

Dr. Pritchett's clinical interests include supporting parents during the newborn period and guiding adolescents through emotional and behavioral changes of adolescence. Her approach combines current research, clinical expertise, and compassionate partnership with families to deliver both high-quality care and peace of mind.
The Wilmington office, located at 1606 Wellington Ave, Suite F in the Wellington Pointe Health Village, continues serving children of New Hanover County and surrounding communities.
