Focus Universal Achieves Key IoT Certifications, Clearing Path to Global Market Deployment

Focus Universal Inc. (Nasdaq: FCUV) announced that its Universal Smart Device and associated sensors have completed certification by accredited laboratories GRG Metrology & Test Group Co., Ltd. and Centre Testing International Group Co., Ltd. The certifications cover the company's universal smart device, pH sensor, total dissolved solids (TDS) sensor, oxidation-reduction potential (ORP) sensor, total dissolved oxygen sensor, and turbidity sensors. These certificates and reports hold international credibility, positioning the company to steadily develop both local and global markets.

The certification marks a pivotal step for the company, which aims to simplify IoT deployment. According to the company, the Universal Smart IoT platform is designed to address common industry challenges such as high R&D costs, technical complexity, and long development cycles. Instead of building customized IoT systems from scratch, engineers can use this platform as a common foundation, potentially eliminating up to 90% of the hardware and software development typically required.

This achievement is particularly significant given the IoT market's growth trajectory. Statista projects the number of IoT devices worldwide will grow from 19.8 billion in 2025 to over 40.6 billion by 2034. The global IoT market, valued at USD 1.18 trillion in 2023, is expected to reach US $2.65 trillion by 2030, reflecting a compound annual growth rate of 11.4% from 2024 to 2030. However, despite this potential, many IoT projects fail: Cisco reports a 75% failure rate, and Microsoft found that 30% of projects fail at the early proof-of-concept stage. Focus Universal's technology aims to address these challenges by delivering up to 90% cost savings and simplifying IoT deployment, which could accelerate adoption across the 19.8 billion existing IoT device users.

Dr. Desheng Wang, CEO of Focus Universal, emphasized the importance of the certification: “The completion of the certification process is therefore a significant step forward. It removes a key commercialization barrier and allows us to move from technology development toward broader domestic and international market deployment. Obtaining the required certifications for our Universal Smart IoT devices and industrial sensors removes a major barrier to commercialization and enables us to market our products domestically and globally.”

The certification process was completed by accredited laboratories in Asia, including GRG Metrology & Test Group Co., Ltd. and Centre Testing International Group Co., Ltd. These accreditations lend credibility to the products and are expected to facilitate entry into international markets.

Focus Universal, a provider of patented hardware and software design technologies for IoT and 5G, has developed five patented technology platforms with 26 patents and patents pending, along with eight trademarks pending. The company's technologies aim to reduce costs, development timelines, and energy usage while improving range, speed, efficiency, and security. With these certifications, Focus Universal is poised to contribute to the broader IoT ecosystem, potentially reducing project failure rates and enabling more businesses to harness the power of connected devices.
