Focus Universal Unveils Deterministic AI Platform to Automate Complex Enterprise Workflows

Focus Universal Inc. (Nasdaq: FCUV) today introduced a formal definition of Deterministic AI, a new category of enterprise artificial intelligence systems designed for the autonomous execution of complex, compliance-driven business workflows with consistent, verifiable, and repeatable outcomes. The company highlighted SEC financial reporting as a representative use case, where the platform can process raw Word documents and generate SEC-ready filings with minimal human intervention.

Every U.S. public company is required to file annual reports (10-K), quarterly reports (10-Q), proxy statements, and other SEC-mandated disclosures within strict regulatory deadlines. These filings must be prepared in XBRL (eXtensible Business Reporting Language), a standardized machine-readable format that enables investors and regulators to extract and compare financial information. However, XBRL requires specialized technical expertise, leading many issuers to rely on expensive and time-consuming EDGAR filing agents.

The current process often requires issuers to deliver draft reports to filing agents days in advance, creating additional pressure on management teams. Focus Universal's Deterministic AI aims to change this: an issuer or filing agent uploads raw Word documents, and the system automatically identifies the filing type, converts documents into SEC-compliant HTML, performs Edgarization, applies XBRL tagging, validates the output, and generates SEC-ready filings. What traditionally takes days can be completed in minutes per filing, and the system can process multiple heterogeneous filings simultaneously, operating 24/7.

Deterministic AI differs fundamentally from traditional automation and generative AI models. Traditional automation relies on predefined rules and structured inputs, while generative AI produces variable, probabilistic outputs that require human review. Deterministic AI, as defined by Focus Universal, acquires domain knowledge and applies it to execute complete business workflows with consistent outcomes. Given identical inputs, the system produces identical outputs, enabling auditability and regulatory reliability.

A key feature is its minimal input requirement. Users only need to provide the primary business document; the system supplies the domain knowledge required to complete the work. For example, a public company's SEC filing may contain over 1,000 financial facts requiring XBRL tagging. The source Word document contains no XBRL tags or taxonomy mappings. Traditionally, professionals manually review disclosures and apply tagging. Deterministic AI requires only the Word document, using knowledge from large numbers of filings to identify concepts, determine appropriate taxonomy elements, perform EDGARization, and generate compliant outputs.

Unlike traditional roll-forward approaches that carry forward historical tagging decisions, Deterministic AI continuously improves its decision quality as additional filings are processed, reducing reliance on company-specific custom tags and improving consistency. The system remains deterministic, ensuring identical inputs produce identical outputs.

Focus Universal believes Deterministic AI is applicable beyond SEC reporting, including tax preparation, freight forwarding logistics, medical billing, insurance claims, regulatory compliance, legal document preparation, and general back-office workflows. The company stated that these industries share a common challenge: transforming unstructured documents into structured, compliant, and auditable outputs with high accuracy requirements.

“We believe Deterministic AI represents a new category of enterprise artificial intelligence focused on execution rather than content generation,” said Dr. Desheng Wang, CEO of Focus Universal. “By combining domain knowledge with autonomous workflow execution, we believe technology can significantly reduce manual labor while improving speed, accuracy, and scalability across many industries.”
