Fulcrum Group Partners with CyberQP to Enhance CJIS Security for DFW Public Safety Agencies

The Fulcrum Group, a provider of outsourced IT services for businesses and government agencies in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, has announced a new partnership with CyberQP, a developer of cybersecurity and automation solutions for managed service providers. The collaboration aims to bolster Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance and protect public safety IT systems.

Through this partnership, The Fulcrum Group will deploy CyberQP's QGuard and QDesk solutions to strengthen IT security and compliance for its public safety and municipal clients. These agencies operate under the CJIS framework, which is one of the most rigorous security standards governing law enforcement and justice organizations. With enhancements in CJIS Security Policy version 6.0, public safety organizations face new requirements to improve IT security.

“We’re proud to support The Fulcrum Group in protecting critical public safety infrastructure,” said Mateo Barraza, CEO of CyberQP. “CJIS compliance isn't just about checking a box—it’s about delivering real-world security that stands up to today’s threats. Our platform empowers IT providers like Fulcrum to deliver secure, efficient service while giving public safety organizations the protection they deserve.”

“With enhancements in CJIS Security Policy version 6.0, public safety organizations face new requirements to improve IT security,” said Steve Meek, CEO of The Fulcrum Group. “By combining our STARpower IT framework with CyberQP’s automation tools, we’re not just meeting those requirements—we’re improving protection for service accounts and accelerating response times for sensitive requests.”

Service accounts remain a common attack vector, often exploited due to weak or unmanaged credentials, according to the Verizon Data Breach Investigations Report (DBIR). With these new capabilities, Fulcrum Group clients gain automated password rotation to reduce risk exposure, real-time auditing to support compliance requirements, and stronger protection against insider and external threats. Additionally, the partnership enables more secure and efficient IT support workflows, including identity-verified processes for critical access requests such as password resets for field personnel and patrol units.

“Public safety organizations depend on reliable, compliant technology to protect our communities,” added Meek. “This partnership helps them meet CJIS requirements while making secure access simpler and faster—without sacrificing protection.”

This initiative reinforces The Fulcrum Group’s mission to deliver one technology solution, providing peace of mind through security, compliance, and responsive IT support. For more information, visit https://fulcrumgroup.net or www.cyberqp.com.
