Future Stars Summer Camps, a leader in sports, specialty, and STEAM education programs, has announced an exciting expansion for 2024. The camp, which began as a tennis camp over 40 years ago, now offers over 40 diverse programs catering to a wide range of interests and needs. This year, the camp will add a new location in Selden, Long Island, providing families with a more convenient option.
The new Selden location, previously an off-site venue for Future Stars' St. Joseph's location during campus construction, has generated significant interest and will now operate as a full-time camp. Situated at the Suffolk County Community College Ammerman Campus, the Selden site boasts state-of-the-art facilities, including two regulation basketball courts, volleyball courts, an auxiliary gymnasium, a dance studio, computer labs, an athletic sports medicine facility, and locker rooms. Additionally, campers will have access to a 20-acre outdoor field complex featuring baseball, softball, soccer, and lacrosse fields, eight regulation tennis courts, a fitness trail, and an outdoor track. The campus also includes an air-conditioned theatre and cafeteria, as well as a water park and game tent area for cooling off and relaxation.
Shane Flanagan will head the new Selden camp, ensuring that it meets the high standards Future Stars is known for. Besides the new Selden location, Future Stars Old Westbury is set to return for summer 2024, offering transportation from select zip codes. Meanwhile, the St. Joseph's location will expand to include a new culinary camp for aspiring chefs, which is already nearing capacity for the year.
