Glen Rose, Texas, the official "Dinosaur Capital of Texas," is rolling out a packed calendar this November, giving visitors plenty of reasons to make the scenic drive and stay the weekend. According to Traci Niedziela, Tourism Director for Glen Rose, "With so much happening, one day is never enough. Glen Rose has rolled out the November Calendar with details on all of the upcoming events this month. Glen Rose is the perfect weekend getaway destination." The announcement highlights the town's growing reputation as a destination for weekend travelers seeking a mix of small-town charm and unique experiences.

The month kicks off on Thursday, November 5, with Open Mic Night at The Palace Public House from 7:00-9:00 p.m., featuring local talent in the heart of town. Also on November 6-7, the Cinch Breakaway at The Expo brings high-energy rodeo action with gates opening at 7:00 p.m. both evenings.

Food and music lovers will find plenty to enjoy. The Chili Cook-Off at Dinosaur Valley RV Park runs November 6-8, promising delicious competition and a true Hill Country atmosphere. Meanwhile, Live Music at Loco Coyote Grill features A Chick and a Dude on Friday, November 6, and Big Joe Walker on Saturday, November 7, both from 7:00-10:00 p.m.

On Saturday, November 7, the 2nd Annual Dino-Bility Day at Dinosaur Valley State Park takes place from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the park's Blue Hole, designed so visitors of all abilities can experience Glen Rose's world-famous dinosaur tracks. ASL interpreters will be onsite. That same day, Bluegrass & Spirits at Sledge Distillery's 10-Year Anniversary celebrates a milestone with the Beatlegras Band and Social Riot Hat Co. from 2:00-10:00 p.m. Classic-car enthusiasts can enjoy the MG Car Show on the Downtown Square that morning, filling the historic square with gleaming MGs and other vintage vehicles.

The following weekend, November 14-15, the Let's Give Thanks - Performance Horses Event at The Expo Center showcases elite equestrians in cutting, reining, and ranch-horse versatility. Completing the hunt earns a complimentary entry to Fossil Rim Wildlife Center, home to more than 1,000 exotic and endangered animals. The initiative is part of Glen Rose's broader effort to position itself as an overnight destination, blending prehistoric wonder with small-town Texas charm.
