Golden Cariboo Resources Reports Significant Gold Intersection in British Columbia Drilling
TL;DR
Golden Cariboo Resources' drill hole QGQ25-23 intersected 0.56 g/t gold over 99.84m, indicating potential resource expansion and investment advantage in the Cariboo Gold Project.
The company intersected gold mineralization through drilling, with QGQ25-23 showing 0.56 g/t over 99.84m, and ongoing drilling targets geological contacts to vector further mineralization.
Golden Cariboo's exploration in British Columbia supports responsible resource development, potentially creating local economic opportunities while rediscovering historical gold rush areas with modern techniques.
Golden Cariboo drilled into a 99.84-meter section with 0.56 g/t gold, including a 1.92-meter zone with 9.99 g/t, in the historic Cariboo Gold Rush region.

Golden Cariboo Resources Ltd. has reported significant gold mineralization from its ongoing drilling program at the Quesnelle Gold Quartz Mine property in central British Columbia. The company intersected 0.56 grams per tonne of gold over 99.84 meters in drill hole QGQ25-23, with a higher-grade section of 1.00 g/t gold over 40.56 meters within that interval. This drilling result represents a substantial intersection that could indicate the presence of a larger mineralized system.
The technical information was reviewed by Jean Pautler, a Professional Geoscientist registered with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of the Province of BC, who serves as the qualified person for the project. The company's ongoing fall drilling program is testing areas north of the Halo zone, with drill hole QGQ25-28 currently in progress. Golden Cariboo is targeting the contact between greenstone and argillite rock formations to vector into further mineralization to the north.
Two additional drill holes, QGQ25-21 and QGQ25-24, intersected intermittent anomalous gold mineralization but were terminated early due to mechanical issues while drilling. Hole QGQ25-21 returned 0.20 g/t gold over 110.68 meters, while QGQ25-24 intersected 0.25 g/t gold over 38.85 meters. All holes ended within anomalous intersections, suggesting mineralization continues beyond the drilled sections. The company notes that interval widths reported at this point have insufficient data to reliably estimate true width, and gold grades have been capped at 10 g/t for reporting purposes.
The Quesnelle Gold Quartz Mine property is located 4 kilometers northeast of Hixon in central British Columbia and is road accessible. The property includes the Quesnelle Quartz gold-silver deposit, which was discovered in 1865 and developed over a footprint of about 150 meters by 150 meters at the Main zone straddling Hixon Creek. The geological setting shows strong similarities with the Spanish Mountain gold deposit, situated 120 kilometers towards the southeast along the same geological trend. As a sediment-hosted vein deposit, the Spanish Mountain deposit is considered to belong to the epizonal orogenic subclass of gold deposits which include some of the world's largest deposits such as Muruntau in Uzbekistan and Bendigo in Australia.
This drilling result is significant because it occurs in a historically productive gold region where over 101 placer gold creeks along a 90-kilometer trend from the Cariboo Hudson mine north to the Quesnelle Gold Quartz Mine property have recorded production, with successful placer mining continuing to this day. The property is bordered by Osisko Development and located along a favorable corridor adjacent to the Spanish and Eureka thrust faults over a 94,899 hectare area. The intersection of nearly 100 meters of continuous gold mineralization suggests potential for economic mineralization in an area with established infrastructure and historical mining activity.
