GRE Alpha Electronics returns to Light + Building 2026 with an expanded presence and new product demonstrations at the Frankfurt trade fair. The company has moved from participation within the EnOcean consortium to its own dedicated booth in Hall 8.0, Booth G37, allowing for more comprehensive displays of its latest innovations in lighting technology.
Richard Fong, director at GRE Alpha, stated that this year represents a significant turning point for the company's participation in the event. The expanded booth space enables GRE Alpha to showcase the breadth of its innovation and provide a more focused experience for partners and customers attending the leading trade fair for lighting and building technology.
The company's showcase includes several notable product developments. Lumifree, JDI's dynamic light-distribution control technology, will be featured with live demonstrations of Dauer's Lumifree-based Uplight and XK Glow's Lumifree-based light system. Fong emphasized the importance of this collaboration, noting that integrating these beam-shaping advancements into power solutions helps redefine how light is shaped and experienced in modern architectural spaces.
A new 40W RFID/NFC driver, branded and distributed by partners at CDI, will be displayed alongside the LUNA light switch. This battery-less, energy-harvesting Bluetooth rocker switch enables wireless building integration without battery maintenance requirements. Fong described this development as combining sustainability with seamless control, representing the smart and sustainable solutions GRE Alpha is bringing to the market.
The company will also display one of the industry's widest arrays of smart control modules featuring integrations with Casambi, EnOcean, DiiA, and Tuya, alongside additional products from Japan and China-based lines. The full catalog is available for browsing through the company's resources. Fong explained that these seamless integrations with world-class partners make smart lighting more accessible than ever, reflecting GRE Alpha's belief in an intelligent and interconnected future for lighting technology.
The company's participation at Light + Building 2026 demonstrates ongoing innovation in the lighting industry, particularly in areas of energy efficiency, wireless control, and advanced light distribution. These developments have implications for building management systems, architectural lighting design, and sustainable building practices worldwide. The technologies on display could influence how commercial and residential spaces integrate lighting controls while reducing maintenance requirements and energy consumption.
GRE Alpha's expanded presence at the trade fair indicates growing capabilities in the smart lighting sector, with products designed to work with existing systems or new setups through a modular approach. The company specializes in solid-state lighting power supplies and lighting control accessories that power LED lighting systems for indoor and outdoor applications. The advancements shown at Light + Building 2026 represent practical applications of emerging technologies that could become standard in future building designs and retrofits.
