Healing House, a Lafayette-based nonprofit, is set to host its annual Martini Tour and Gala, a pivotal fundraising event that not only highlights the mixology prowess of local businesses but also supports grieving children and families in the Acadiana community. From June to August, eight local establishments will compete with their innovative martini creations, leading up to the gala on August 16th, where the community comes together for an evening of entertainment and philanthropy.
The event, supported by Cowboy Auctioneer since 2021, plays a crucial role in funding Healing House's mission. Heath Hale of Cowboy Auctioneer emphasized the importance of Healing House's work, stating, "Healing House supports children in one of their most vulnerable states - after they've lost a loved one." The organization provides grief support services, counseling, and educational programs, making a significant impact on those facing loss.
