hep global Appoints Martin Vogt as CEO, Christian Hamann Transitions to CFO

The hep global Group, an international specialist in solar project development and battery energy storage systems (BESS), has reorganized its management team to steer the company through its next phase of growth. Effective immediately, Martin Vogt (44) has taken over as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), succeeding company founder Christian Hamann (55). Hamann stepped down from the CEO role at his own request after nearly 17 years but will remain with the management team as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). He had already assumed responsibility for the finance division in May 2026.

This carefully prepared succession plan underscores hep global’s commitment to continuity in corporate leadership and a clear distribution of management responsibilities. Martin Vogt has been with the hep global Group since early 2024 and most recently served as Chief Project Officer, overseeing global project development. In that role, he played a key part in the strategic and operational advancement of the company’s project business. As CFO, Christian Hamann will focus on the financial management of the company. The management team is rounded out by Georg von Eichendorff Strachwitz, who has served as Chief Operating Officer (COO) since 2021.

“I am very grateful for the trust of our employees, customers, and partners over the past 17 years,” said Christian Hamann. “As an international developer of solar energy projects, we have made a significant contribution to the energy transition since our founding. Martin Vogt is a leader who knows our company, our markets, and our strategic priorities very well. At the same time, I will remain closely connected to hep global as CFO and will focus on the company’s financial management. This allows us to establish clear lines of responsibility while ensuring continuity in corporate leadership.”

Martin Vogt expressed his gratitude to the founders and shareholders: “I would like to thank our founders, Christian Hamann and Thorsten Eitle, as well as the other shareholders, for their trust and their extraordinary contribution to building and successfully establishing our company. hep global has many years of experience in the international development of solar energy projects and an established platform in our core markets. In recent years, we have consistently adapted our organizational and cost structures to changing market conditions. In doing so, we have laid the groundwork for the next phase of development. Our focus remains clear: We want to further strengthen our position as a reliable partner for the development of solar and battery storage projects. To this end, we are committed to continuity in our strategy and management, a focus on our core European markets, and targeted new growth initiatives.”

The hep global Group is an owner-managed company based in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, with more than 15 years of experience in developing and planning renewable energy projects, mainly in Europe, Japan, and North America. Its strategic focus is on greenfield developments and the integration of BESS. The group employs around 120 people worldwide, with subsidiaries in Germany, Italy, Poland, the USA, Canada, and Japan.

This leadership transition is significant for the renewable energy sector, as hep global’s continued commitment to solar and battery storage projects supports the global energy transition. The company’s stability and strategic clarity under new leadership may reassure investors and partners, while its focus on core European markets and new growth initiatives could drive further expansion in the renewable energy industry.
