Historic Augusta invites the community to celebrate its 60th anniversary at the Perfectly Aged Benefit Auction on September 18, 2025. The event will take place at Saint Paul's River Room from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, featuring an evening of libations, music, and catering with black tie attire encouraged, including optional masks and tiaras for added elegance.
The auction represents a significant milestone for historic preservation efforts in Augusta, providing crucial funding to maintain the city's architectural legacy. This anniversary event underscores the ongoing importance of protecting cultural heritage sites that define community identity and historical continuity.
Major sponsors including Keystone supporters the Knox Foundation and The Kru, along with Gold sponsors Laurie McRae Interiors and Stokes Hodges Auto Group, have made the event possible through their generous contributions. Additional silver and bronze sponsors have also supported the fundraising initiative, demonstrating broad community investment in preservation efforts.
A representative of Charity Ace, assisting with fundraising efforts, emphasized the critical nature of public support: "Your participation and support are vital in helping continue the mission of preserving and promoting Augusta's architectural and cultural heritage. Together, we can make a lasting impact on this community."
The event utilizes online ticket sales and bidding systems, with auction items available for pickup by noon on September 19th. Community members can further support Historic Augusta through donations, membership, or volunteering opportunities beyond the auction event.
