The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) today opened its seven flagship lifestyle and licensing events, including the Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair, Home InStyle, Fashion InStyle, Hong Kong International Printing & Packaging Fair, DeLuxe PrintPack Hong Kong, Hong Kong International Licensing Show, and the Asian Licensing Conference. The events, running from April 28 to 30 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) and AsiaWorld-Expo, collectively host approximately 5,600 exhibitors from over 30 countries and regions, underscoring Hong Kong's pivotal role as a global trade gateway.
HKTDC Executive Director Sophia Chong emphasized Hong Kong's strategic position, stating: "Hong Kong has long served as the key gateway for global businesses connecting with the Chinese Mainland, playing the role of super connector and super value-adder that bridges the Chinese Mainland's vast market with the rest of the world." She highlighted Hong Kong's robust innovation ecosystem and intellectual property infrastructure as ideal foundations for companies to pursue creativity and commercial success.
The Gifts & Premium Fair and Home InStyle feature a new "Reimagine" themed floor at HKCEC Hall 5, offering buyers a comprehensive overview of global trends in lifestyle homeware and gifting products. Notable product launches include Wei Yit Vacuum Flask Manufactory's Camel Brand MINI20 thermos blind box, co-created with Hong Kong illustrators Pen So and Jerry Cho, and a special co-branded thermos celebrating Camel Brand's 85th anniversary coinciding with Bruce Lee's 85th birth anniversary. Home InStyle exhibitor PREN Ltd introduced an infection-prevention mobile toilet that requires no installation or water, incorporating health monitoring capabilities.
The Hall of Fine Designs at the Gifts & Premium Fair gathers over 100 exhibitors showcasing premium design-led products, including Star Industrial Co., Ltd's Red A "Made in Hong Kong" mini-series blind boxes and Moral Team Holdings Ltd's Napier Coded backpack for pickleball enthusiasts made from recycled materials. Home InStyle's Gerontech and Innovative Material Pavilion, funded by the Innovation and Technology Commission, presents over 20 local enterprises with products such as Scan Infinity Ltd's TechFitX Smart Sports Training System and Sinomax's bionic ultrasonic sleep soother. The Cultural and Creative Avenue features designers from over 10 countries, with Pantone returning as colour partner presenting the PANTONE 2026 Colour of the Year "Cloud Dancer".
Fashion InStyle's highlighted zone NEXT@Fashion InStyle, sponsored by the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency (CCIDA), demonstrates material innovation driving sustainability. Exhibitors include Belgium's Bloom Biotech showcasing microalgae leather, Finland's Spinnova PLC with SPINNOVA® fibre from wood or waste cellulose, and Vietnam's Thai Son S.P Co., Ltd. with ramie fabric. Project ambassador Han Chong, founder of self-portrait, leads six local designer brands using forward-looking materials from eight suppliers, including French, Indonesian, and Hong Kong sources. The Hong Kong International Printing & Packaging Fair and DeLuxe PrintPack Hong Kong highlight eco-friendly solutions, such as Elements Printing and Packaging Limited's FSC Transparent Non-plastic packaging and BSN International Hong Kong Limited's RFID labels with paper-based inner layers. The Hong Kong International Licensing Show introduces a new IP and e-Commerce Support Services zone, uniting e-commerce platforms, KOLs, and marketing firms to help brands capitalize on e-commerce growth.
