Hong Kong Tech Companies to Showcase AI Innovations at GITEX Global 2025 in Dubai

The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP) will stage two pavilions at GITEX Global 2025 from October 13 to 17 in Dubai, featuring 22 exhibitors showcasing the latest products and solutions in artificial intelligence, robotics, IoT and greentech. The event marks the return of Hong Kong Tech Pavilions to GITEX since 2020 and comes as Middle Eastern countries actively develop their AI capabilities, leveraging unique advantages in low-cost energy and capital strength.

Daniel Lam, Regional Director of the Middle East and Africa of the HKTDC, stated that the pavilions will connect promising Hong Kong innovation and technology enterprises with partners in the Middle East and beyond. This initiative not only helps Hong Kong companies expand into international innovation markets but also attracts investors from the Middle East and worldwide to use Hong Kong as a gateway to China and the broader Asia region. The timing aligns with Hong Kong SAR Chief Executive John Lee's recent Policy Address commitment to promote AI and data science industries, recognizing AI as the key driving force of the next wave of scientific and technological revolution.

Hong Kong's position as a global AI development hub is strengthened by advantages in scientific research, capital, data and talent. According to InvestHK's 2024 Startup Survey, the number of start-ups has surged to nearly 4,700, underscoring the ecosystem's vitality. The Hong Kong Tech Pavilions at GITEX Global 2025 aim to support this growth by connecting Hong Kong tech SMEs and start-ups with Middle Eastern investors while addressing the region's AI development needs.

Exhibitors at the Hong Kong Tech Pavilions include several AI-focused companies demonstrating practical applications. The HKSAR Environmental Protection Department will showcase AI applications for environmental assessment and planning, including the development of an AI Environmental Air Nuisance Investigation Robot Dog, building a Hong Kong environmental data repository, and creating AI systems for monitoring noise and wastewater. TradeMonday offers a vertical GenAI SaaS platform that automates retail analytics and workflows, transforming data into profit-driving decisions with pre-trained AI agents. The company is backed by venture capital funds from Hong Kong, Turkiye and the United States.

Chain Technology Development Co. Limited will present its award-winning Digital Twin solution that brings together AI, IoT data and spatial intelligence to address needs in architecture, engineering, construction and operation industries, contributing to smarter, safer and more sustainable smart city development. Man Yue Electronics Company Limited, a manufacturer and supplier of high-quality electronic components, will showcase products emphasizing sustainability and carbon neutrality.

In addition to the main GITEX Global exhibition, HKSTP will lead another pavilion at Expand North Star at Dubai Harbour from October 12 to 15, featuring innovative solutions from 10 park companies. Participating start-ups will also compete in the Supernova Challenge pitching competition, while The Hong Kong Polytechnic University will showcase its technological achievements and business solutions. To facilitate networking, the HKTDC will host a networking dinner on October 14 together with the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Dubai, expected to attract approximately 80 industry representatives from local and international sectors.

The HKTDC will organize 12 pitching sessions on-site where participating companies present their innovative solutions to investors, businesses and government agencies. GITEX Global, marking its 45th edition this year, is expected to attract over 200,000 attendees from more than 180 countries, bringing together tech giants and innovative start-ups across fields including AI, cybersecurity, smart mobility and greentech. This international platform provides Hong Kong companies unprecedented access to one of the world's fastest-growing technology markets while positioning Hong Kong as a critical bridge between Middle Eastern investors and Asian innovation opportunities.
