The InnoEX exhibition and Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Spring Edition) opened today at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, gathering global technology experts with artificial intelligence and robotics taking center stage. Organized under the theme "Innovate . Automate . Elevate," the four-day event brings together over 2,800 exhibitors from 27 countries and regions, showcasing leading innovation and technology solutions alongside cutting-edge electronic products.
Jenny Koo, Deputy Executive Director of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), emphasized the event's role in fostering cross-regional collaboration and highlighting Hong Kong's international innovation strengths. The fairs align with both the National 15th Five-Year Plan and Hong Kong's innovation development directions outlined in the latest government budget, attracting technology enterprises, startups and buyers from around the world to explore collaboration opportunities.
A major highlight of this year's event is the newly launched "RoboPark," which spans both exhibitions and features over 100 robots across diverse application scenarios. Four of the world's top five best-selling humanoid robot manufacturers are participating, including AgiBot, Unitree, UBTECH and EngineAI. Unitree presents the first launch outside the Chinese Mainland for its next-generation quadruped robot dog, Unitree A2, capable of running at up to 5 m/s and climbing to heights of up to 1 meter. Hong Kong-based RiceRobotics showcases autonomous robots designed for building and office operations that are already widely adopted by Japanese enterprises including SoftBank and 7-Eleven Japan.
This year's InnoEX features over 550 exhibitors from 21 countries and regions, with first-time participation from Austria, Germany, Hungary, Israel, Kazakhstan, the Netherlands, the Philippines and the United States. The exhibition focuses on five key areas: AI+, Robotics, Low-altitude Economy, PropTech and RetailTech. The Digital Policy Office presents the "Smart Hong Kong Pavilion" under the theme "AI+ Hong Kong," featuring innovative solutions from over 20 government departments and public organizations. Tencent Cloud showcases AI solutions including SuperApp and PalmAI at https://innoex.hktdc.com/en.
In robotics, Wildfaces, Lenovo and Intel jointly present a patented real-time AI fault detection system using drones and WildAI software for anomaly detection in confined or hazardous environments. The development of a competitive low-altitude economy ecosystem represents another key focus, with China Mobile Hong Kong presenting a drone traffic management system and demonstrating 5G+ satellite ubiquitous connectivity. InnoEX will co-organize the LAE Development Conference on April 15 with the Working Group on Developing Low-altitude Economy.
The Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Spring Edition) brings together exhibitors from 15 countries and regions, with Australia, France, Macao and Thailand participating for the first time. The fair presents innovative technologies across three major areas: Smart Home & Solutions, Health Tech & Gadgets, and Pet Intelligence. Approximately 60 products will be launched for the first time, including the "BG120 Smart Sports Glasses" by Infinite Import & Export and the "Great Wall Dragon Armor" Mini PC series by Hunan Greatwall Computer System Co., Ltd.
As demand for elderly products continues to rise, the EFSE promotes the "Smart Ageing Products" label, with Zhongyuan Innovation presenting an AI Smart Elderly Care Kit that monitors vital signs and detects abnormalities in real time. The growing "pet economy" is addressed through products like the Aura AI Pet Robot by Tuya Hong Kong Limited, a generative AI-powered pet companion solution. Over 100 forums and exchange activities will be held across the four days, bringing together leading technology companies, industry experts, academics and buyers to share the latest industry trends. The Office for Attracting Strategic Enterprises will host a thematic seminar titled "Driving Innovation and Industry Development through China's Next Five-Year Roadmap," featuring enterprises including JD Group, Ant Group and Pfizer sharing their experiences using Hong Kong as a strategic platform to expand into the Greater Bay Area and Asia-Pacific region.
The events form part of the Business of Innovation and Technology Week (BIT Week), jointly driven by the Innovation, Technology and Industry Bureau of the HKSAR Government and the HKTDC. Additional BIT Week events include the 3rd Hong Kong World Youth Science Conference, the Hong Kong Web3 Festival 2026, and the International Academicians Hong Kong Forum. The World Internet Conference Asia Pacific Summit will also take place concurrently, focusing on innovation and technology in the Asia Pacific region and further strengthening Hong Kong's position as a regional digital hub and international innovation center.
