Huawei Cloud has rolled out a suite of enterprise AI products and services, including the global launch of its latest AI Cluster Service (AICS) and expansions to its Agentic Model as a Service (MaaS) platform and Industry AI Foundry. The announcements were made by Dr. Peter Zhou, Director of the Board at Huawei and CEO of Huawei Cloud, during a keynote at HUAWEI CONNECT 2026 in Shanghai on September 18.
The new AICS is designed to provide robust infrastructure for agentic AI, featuring a five-level fast recovery mechanism that supports over 40 days of stable training on cloud and fault recovery within 10 minutes. It delivers 20% higher token throughput than the previous generation, according to Huawei Cloud. The service will be commercially available in China on September 30 and in international markets on November 30. This launch is part of Huawei Cloud's broader Agentic Infra strategy, which has already served over 3,500 customers. The company also introduced Context Memory Storage (CMS), a solution that offers petabyte-scale memory space and terabyte-scale reads with 50% higher performance than industry peers, addressing the needs of long-horizon agent tasks.
Huawei Cloud's Agentic MaaS platform brings together diverse models, allowing developers to invoke state-of-the-art models from leading providers with one click and no deployment. At the event, MiniMax demonstrated its advanced multimodal model, which, combined with Huawei Cloud, delivers open, cutting-edge multimodal capabilities. This move is significant as it simplifies access to advanced AI models, potentially lowering barriers for enterprises to integrate AI into their operations.
The company is also advancing its enterprise-grade agent platform through AgentArts and its open-source edition, openJiuwen. The platform opens up more than 5,000 general Model Context Protocol (MCP) assets and over 1,000 industry-specific MCP assets. It has already served over 100 customers, including the Shenzhen Longgang District Government, China Southern Power Grid, and Kingsoft Office. Kingsoft Office shared its implementation practices, having built vertical office agents integrated with WPS 365 and WPS Comate. AgentArts will be commercially available outside China on December 30. The openJiuwen community has surpassed 50,000 stars and 3.29 million downloads.
Furthermore, the Industry AI Foundry has accumulated more than 1,000 industry assets and over 1,000 deployed projects. It now includes two new zones: Smart Government Zone and AI Hardware Zone. The Smart Government Zone has 24 founding partners, while the AI Hardware Zone has onboarded 15 core partners covering over 20 device types. These efforts aim to accelerate AI adoption at scale across industries.
