Hybrid Power Solutions Inc. has received an initial purchase order from a global provider of AI-based security and drone systems for a trial unit of its Batt Pack Energy portable power system. The customer, which serves public safety agencies and defense organizations globally, will evaluate the system's performance in field operations where reliable, low-signature portable power is essential. This trial represents a strategic entry into the public safety and defense technology sector, where clean, quiet power solutions can reduce operational noise, fuel logistics, and emissions.
The Batt Pack Energy offers modular, emission-free operation as an alternative to traditional fuel generators, making it suitable for charging equipment and powering mission-critical devices in remote environments. According to CEO Francois Byrne, the customer's focus on innovation in protecting life and enhancing operational capabilities aligns with Hybrid's mission to deliver clean, reliable power solutions. Following successful trial completion and internal approvals, this engagement could lead to a follow-on purchase program of 500-600 units over 18 months, though no assurance of such orders exists.
Hybrid Power Solutions will also participate as one of ten selected Canadian companies in the Arizona Transportation Roadshow from January 20-23, 2026. Organized by the Trade Commissioner Service in partnership with Global Ties Arizona, the event will facilitate meetings with public and private sector leaders in Arizona's transportation, logistics, and infrastructure ecosystem. Activities include panels on multimodal transportation, site visits to facilities like COSIC LLC and Mesa Gateway Airport, and engagements with cities including Phoenix and Mesa.
A targeted B2B meeting with Arizona Public Service will explore collaboration opportunities in clean energy and sustainable power solutions for utility and infrastructure applications. Byrne noted that the roadshow provides a platform to showcase fuel-free power technologies in one of North America's fastest-growing mobility hubs, with potential to advance sustainable transportation initiatives across the U.S.-Canada border.
The company's Canadian manufacturing and robust supply chain were factors in the defense customer's purchasing decision. Hybrid Power Solutions anticipates collaborating throughout the trial period and exploring broader integration of its portable power systems into public safety ecosystems, while leveraging insights from the Arizona Roadshow for market expansion.
