King Global Ventures Advances Arizona Exploration Amid U.S. Mining Workforce Push

King Global Ventures Inc. (CSE: KING) (OTCQB: KGLDF) (FSE: 5LM1) is advancing exploration at its Black Canyon/Silver Cord project near Cleator, Arizona, as U.S. federal policy emphasizes rebuilding domestic mining workforce capacity and critical mineral supply chains. The company is conducting a 14,000-foot diamond drill program at the Iron Horse target to test priority geophysical anomalies for potential VMS-style sulphide mineralization within the Lower Spud Mountain Formation.

Drilling, geological work, and XRF interpretation have identified prospective volcanic stratigraphy, hydrothermal alteration, feeder-style geochemical responses, and multiple marker horizons. Wedge drilling from IH-26-03 is being used to further test the target at depth. Previous drilling at Silver Cord, completed in December 2025, intersected high-grade polymetallic veins containing silver, gold, lead, zinc, and antimony, including 9 feet grading 619.6 g/t silver, 1.0 g/t gold, 0.6% lead, 1.05% zinc, and 375 g/t antimony.

The company highlighted an Aug. 7, 2026, White House announcement outlining $100 million for 14 U.S. mining schools as part of more than $2 billion in new mining and mining-related investments and more than $180 million in mining school and workforce funding. This policy backdrop could support domestic exploration companies targeting strategic minerals such as antimony, which is critical for defense and technology applications.

The Black Canyon Project in Yavapai County, Arizona, comprises 213 contiguous concessions covering 4,000 acres, encompassing 15 former operating mines, including the past-producing Howard Copper Mine. Situated 100 km north of Phoenix, it represents an early-stage exploration opportunity targeting copper-gold-silver-zinc VMS mineralization. The region has a significant history of mining, including operations like Bagdad, Jerome, and Cleopatra. The property is on trend and approximately 13 km northwest of Arizona Metals Corp. (T:AMC).

The Howard Copper Mine Property, on 78 acres of patented land, was discovered in the early 1920s with small-scale production focused on high-grade copper. Historical reports state the main shaft was sunk to the 900-foot level, with no ore mined below the 500-foot level. King Global Ventures also holds the Mikwam Gold Property in Ontario, located along the Casa Berardi Deformation Zone, with gold mineralization hosted in Timiskaming-aged conglomerates and greywackes.

This exploration comes at a time when the U.S. is seeking to reduce reliance on foreign sources for critical minerals. The federal investment in mining schools and workforce development signals a strategic shift toward strengthening domestic capabilities. For exploration companies like King Global, this could mean increased support and interest in projects that target minerals essential to national security and economic resilience.
