LaFleur Minerals Advances Toward Gold Production in Quebec’s Abitibi Belt

LaFleur Minerals Inc. (CSE: LFLR) (OTCQB: LFLRF) is moving closer to gold production at its properties in the Abitibi greenstone belt of eastern Canada, one of the most prolific Archean belts in the world. The company recently completed a Preliminary Economic Assessment for its Swanson Gold Deposit in Québec, which highlights a capital-efficient project with strong economics by leveraging its 100%-owned and refurbished Beacon Gold Mill.

“As we prepare for pre-operational tests and system checks at the Beacon Gold Mill in the coming months, we are transitioning from pure exploration and development to gold production execution,” said LaFleur Chief Executive Officer Paul Ténière. The mill, fully permitted and capable of processing over 750 tonnes per day, is being considered for processing mineralized material from Swanson and for custom milling operations for other nearby gold projects.

The Swanson Gold Project spans approximately 18,304 hectares (183 km²) and includes several prospects rich in gold and critical metals previously held by Monarch Mining, Abcourt Mines, and Globex Mining. LaFleur has consolidated a large land package along a major structural break that hosts the Swanson, Bartec, and Jolin gold deposits, along with several other showings. The project is easily accessible by road, allowing direct access to several nearby gold mills, further enhancing its development potential.

The importance of this announcement lies in LaFleur’s shift from exploration to near-term production in a region known for significant gold discoveries. The Abitibi greenstone belt has produced over 200 million ounces of gold, and LaFleur’s strategy to restart production from its sites could contribute to local economic growth and job creation. For investors, the company’s focus on a capital-efficient project with existing infrastructure may reduce development risks and timelines.

LaFleur Minerals is focused on the development of district-scale gold projects in the Abitibi Gold Belt near Val-d’Or, Québec. The company’s mission is to advance mining projects with a laser focus on the resource-stage Swanson Gold Project and the Beacon Gold Mill, which have significant potential to deliver long-term value.
