LION E-Mobility AG Reports 68% Revenue Growth in 2025, Confirms 2026 Forecast

LION E-Mobility AG (LION; ISIN: CH0560888270), a manufacturer of battery packs for electric mobility and energy storage solutions, published its audited annual report for the 2025 financial year on June 25, 2026. The report reveals a significant financial turnaround, with Group revenues climbing 68% to EUR 28.3 million from EUR 16.9 million in 2024. EBITDA improved to EUR 6.5 million, yielding an EBITDA margin of 22.8%, compared to a loss of EUR 3.6 million in the prior year. Net profit also rebounded to EUR 2.3 million from a net loss of EUR 6.6 million. The company attributed the growth to a strong recovery in market demand for batteries.

Looking ahead to 2026, LION confirmed its forecast of revenue growth exceeding EUR 35 million, accompanied by a strongly positive EBITDA. The company noted that new production lines will be dedicated to high-performance NMC+ battery pack technology, which means a substantial share of 2026 revenues is expected to be weighted toward the second half of the year.

Beyond its core business, LION sees additional growth momentum in the Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and defense sectors. In the defense space, the company is actively engaged in a number of related inquiries. A recent example is the partnership with Mandrill Engineering, where LION Smart's high-performance battery technology serves as the power source for an advanced unmanned ground vehicle (UGV), delivering dependable performance and extended operational capabilities in challenging field conditions.

The audited EBITDA and EBITDA margin deviate from the preliminary figures of EUR 7.5 million and 26.4% published on April 1, 2026. The full annual report is available on the LION E-Mobility website. The Annual General Meeting will take place on June 25, 2026 in Zug, Switzerland.

This announcement underscores LION's recovery and strategic positioning in high-growth markets. The shift to NMC+ technology signals a focus on higher-performance applications, while diversification into defense and BESS sectors could reduce reliance on the electric vehicle market. For the industry, LION's results reflect broader trends in battery demand recovery and the increasing importance of specialized battery solutions for defense and energy storage.
