MAX Power Mining Expands Saskatchewan Natural Hydrogen Holdings to 2 Million Acres

MAX Power Mining Corp. (CSE: MAXX; OTC: MAXXF; FRANKFURT: 89N) has announced a significant expansion of its natural hydrogen permit holdings in Saskatchewan, adding 660,263 acres across south-central Saskatchewan. This increases the company's total permitted holdings by more than 50% to approximately 2 million acres across 12 projects, according to a press release from the company.

The expansion includes the newly named Aurora Project, which spans 628 square kilometers and adjoins the existing Lawson project. This creates a contiguous 90-kilometer corridor that the company says holds potential for multiple natural hydrogen discoveries and commercialization pathways near highway, rail, heavy industry, and emerging artificial intelligence infrastructure.

MAX Power also added the Ogema and Kyle projects, expanded the Grasslands Project through the Fox Valley target area, and secured additional permits at Lawson, Radville, and Tribune. The company continues commercial-validation drilling at Lawson Complex #1, which is Canada's first confirmed subsurface natural hydrogen system. Independent consultant GLJ Ltd. is also reviewing data from the newly permitted areas.

The significance of this expansion lies in the growing interest in natural hydrogen as a clean energy source. Unlike hydrogen produced from fossil fuels or electrolysis, natural hydrogen is generated by geological processes and could offer a low-carbon alternative. MAX Power's position as a pioneer in this field, with Canada's first confirmed subsurface natural hydrogen system, underscores the potential for Saskatchewan to become a hub for this emerging resource.

For investors, the expansion signals MAX Power's commitment to scaling its exploration footprint. The company's focus on natural hydrogen aligns with global decarbonization trends, and its land position of 2 million acres provides a substantial base for future discoveries. The proximity to existing infrastructure, such as highways and rail, could reduce development costs and accelerate commercialization.

MAX Power is also active in critical minerals, with a portfolio of properties in the United States and Canada, including the Willcox Playa Lithium Project in Arizona. However, the company's primary focus remains on natural hydrogen, a resource that could play a role in reducing carbon emissions in heavy industry and transportation.
