Monkee's of Fair Oaks Ranch will hold its grand opening at 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 20, 2026, in the Lemon Creek Ranch development, offering Fair Oaks Ranch and Boerne residents a new locally owned women's contemporary boutique. The opening marks the culmination of a year-long effort by owner Kelli Hull to transform a concrete shell into a fully stocked store featuring national designer brands. Hull, who previously faced a 45-minute drive to San Antonio for contemporary clothing, identified a gap in the local market.
"I kept hearing from other women that they had the same frustrations I did," Hull said in a press release. "On Thursday, that changes. We can't wait to open the doors and finally show everyone what we've built." The opening day schedule includes a Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting and confetti pop at 9:30 a.m., followed by public access at 10 a.m. The first 100 purchases will receive a special gift, and throughout the grand opening weekend (Thursday through Saturday), guests can enjoy champagne, light bites, and giveaways from local partners including Heights Wellness, Golden Salon, Rooted Strength Fitness, and Glossy Nail Bar.
The roughly 1,200-square-foot boutique carries a curated mix assembled on buying trips to New York City showrooms. Brands include Paige denim, FRAME, Milly, Shoshanna, Marie Oliver, and Aviator Nation, a Malibu, California, label popular with younger shoppers. Hull noted that the August 20 opening coincides with the new school year. "If you want to wear a basic top, a pair of denim and sneakers during the day, but then you have an event in the evening and you need to put on a cocktail dress, we're your one-stop shop to do all of that," she said.
Looking ahead, the boutique will introduce several new brands in January, including Tecovas, Hunter Bell, AGL, and the New Braunfels-based label Sunshine Tienda. Several trunk shows are also planned for the grand opening weekend.
Hull emphasized the importance of customer service and experience, noting that "people are a little bit frustrated with a lack of customer service, not only in retail but in industries at large." The boutique offers personal styling, private after-hours events, and Sunday appointments. "It is my solemn vow that I'll never let anyone leave Monkee's of Fair Oaks Ranch in something that doesn't look phenomenal on them," Hull said.
The boutique is veteran-owned, with Hull stating, "We're one of the few veteran-owned and operated Monkee's in the country. Supporting the military community is something you'll continue to see us do for years to come." The Lemon Creek Ranch location was chosen for its long-term potential and convenience, with easy access off I-10 and parking right out front. Hull noted that the development "is great where it's at now, but it's only going to continue to get better."
