MS Tech Ltd. announced it has secured a major contract to supply and install multiple units of its DUOSCAN™ explosives and narcotics trace detection systems at the new Adani Navi Mumbai International Airport in India. This deployment represents a significant expansion of the company's security technology footprint in one of the world's fastest-growing aviation markets, coinciding with additional DUOSCAN™ installations completed at Guwahati International Airport to strengthen regional aviation security.
The Navi Mumbai International Airport, inaugurated in December 2025, is designed to handle up to 90 million passengers annually and 2.5 million tons of cargo each year once fully operational. As one of India's most ambitious infrastructure projects, the airport features state-of-the-art terminals, parallel runways, and India's largest planned general aviation facility. It will serve as a critical gateway for both passenger and cargo traffic in the Mumbai region, easing congestion at Mumbai's existing international airport and supporting India's rapid aviation growth. The airport's modern cargo facilities are expected to accelerate trade and logistics, strengthening India's role in the global economy.
The selection of MS Tech's DUOSCAN™ systems reflects the airport's commitment to integrating advanced detection technologies to ensure both passenger and cargo traffic move safely and efficiently while addressing growing challenges of explosives and narcotics smuggling. According to CEO Doron Shalom, recurring procurements from Adani Airports and renewals of service agreements demonstrate the reliability of MS Tech's HF-QCM nanotechnology sensors and explosives detection products. The company continues supplying detection systems to Adani Airports across all Airports Authority of India airports, with systems offering advanced trace detection for passengers, carry-on and checked baggage while enhancing security and improving checkpoint throughput.
MS Tech's detection systems, including the EXPLOSCAN, DUOSCAN, MULTISCAN, LIQUISCAN and THREATSCAN, utilize the company's patented High-Frequency Quartz Crystal Microbalance (HF-QCM) nanotechnology sensors. These products feature innovative design with self-calibrating and self-cleaning capabilities, offering high sensitivity and operational availability. The HF-QCM sensors are non-radioactive, providing what the company describes as a completely green and safe working environment. These systems are operationally proven in various temperatures and can withstand harsh environmental conditions including dust and humidity.
The deployment at Guwahati Airport supports enhanced security screening at one of Northeast India's most important aviation hubs, serving growing domestic and international traffic and reinforcing regional connectivity. MS Tech's technologies have applications across multiple sectors including aviation and transportation security, high-threat facilities, military, customs and border control, mail inspection and cargo screening markets.
