Nevada Lithium has announced the commencement of its 2024 Drill Program at the Bonnie Claire lithium project in Nevada. The initiative aims to build on the successes of the 2023 drill campaign, which identified significant high-grade lithium and boron mineralization.
According to Nevada Lithium CEO Stephen Rentschler, the program has already completed one deep core hole and begun a second. The first, Hole BC2401C, is a 450-metre step-out hole intended to test the boundaries of mineralization beyond previously drilled areas. The second, Hole BC2402C, serves as an infill hole to examine the continuity of mineralization between existing holes BC 2301C and BC 2303C.
The primary objectives of this year's drill program include confirming the continuity of deep, high-grade lithium-boron mineralization and exploring mineralization to the northeast of the current resource zone. If successful, these efforts could lead to an upgrade of the resource classification from Inferred to Indicated or Measured, thereby significantly enhancing the project's economic prospects.
An updated mineral resource estimation is a crucial part of the company's efforts to complete an updated Preliminary Economic Assessment, expected by the Fall of 2024. This assessment will provide valuable data to support the economic potential of the Bonnie Claire project.
Rentschler emphasized the importance of these objectives in advancing the Bonnie Claire project, noting that success could pave the way for increased investor confidence and further development activities. The results from this drill program will be instrumental in shaping the future of the project and potentially accelerating its path to production.
