Ontario's iGaming sector has set a new benchmark in May 2025, with gross gaming revenue (GGR) reaching a historic high of CA$338.0 million, marking a 2.9% increase from the previous record set in January of the same year. This surge represents a 40.3% rise compared to May of the previous year and an 8.0% increase from April 2025, underscoring the robust growth of online gambling in the province.

The total amount wagered by players across all iGaming platforms also reached a record CA$8.07 billion in May, a 3.5% increase from the previous month and a 28.9% jump year-on-year. This milestone reflects the growing consumer interest and engagement in Ontario's regulated iGaming market.

Online casinos dominated the market, generating CA$259.8 million in revenue, which accounts for 77% of the total iGaming revenue in the province.
