Opawica Explorations Reports Promising Gold Exploration Results in Abitibi Gold Belt

Opawica Explorations Inc. has reported promising results from its ongoing drilling program in the Abitibi Gold Belt, revealing significant mineralization potential in its Bazooka Gold Project. The company's recent exploration efforts have successfully intersected the Cadillac-Larder fault multiple times, uncovering encouraging geological indicators of potential mineral resources.

During the drilling campaign, ten drill holes were completed, with detailed analysis performed on sample OP-25-27, which was drilled to a depth of 171 meters. The geological examination revealed a complex mineral composition, including serecite formation, localized fuschite occurrences, and silicification pulses. Notably, the drill core showed varying concentrations of arsenopyrite and pyrite, with percentages ranging from trace levels to up to 15% in certain sections.

X-ray fluorescence (XRF) readings from different depths provided insights into the mineral composition. At 118.50 meters, the sample demonstrated significant concentrations, including 190 parts per million of gold, 1,061 parts per million of nickel, and 4,117 parts per million of chromium. Subsequent readings at different depths continued to show varied mineral presence, highlighting the geological complexity of the site.

The Cadillac-Larder Lake fault, a critical structural element in the Abitibi greenstone belt, has historically supported numerous commercial mining operations. Opawica's current exploration efforts aim to further understand the mineralization patterns and potential economic viability of the Bazooka property.

While the XRF results provide an initial indication of mineral presence, the company acknowledges that certified assaying of core samples is necessary to accurately determine the extent of base and precious metal mineralization. The exploration represents a strategic approach to understanding the geological potential of the region and potentially identifying economically viable mineral deposits.

Opawica Explorations' ongoing research demonstrates the company's commitment to systematic and thorough exploration techniques in the pursuit of valuable mineral resources. The results from the Bazooka Gold Project offer a glimpse into the geological potential of the Abitibi Gold Belt and represent a significant step in the company's exploration strategy.
