Pangyo Techno Valley Launches Global Accelerating Program to Propel Startup International Expansion

The Gyeonggi Business & Science Accelerator (GBSA) has initiated its 2025 Global Accelerating Program, selecting twelve promising startups from diverse technological domains to support their global market expansion efforts. The program, launched at the Pangyo Techno Valley campus, represents a strategic initiative to enhance the international competitiveness of Korean innovative enterprises.

The selected companies represent cutting-edge technologies across artificial intelligence, biotechnology, and advanced engineering. Notable participants include APLA, specializing in AI-driven 3D motion generation; Cure-in, which has developed an automated breast biopsy robot system; and PITEN, focusing on immune regulation skincare technologies.

Program leadership emphasized the rigorous selection process, with Jun-Woo Lee, GBSA Head, highlighting the exceptional expertise demonstrated by the chosen startups. The initiative provides comprehensive support beyond traditional incubation models, offering targeted consulting, networking opportunities, and potential investment connections to facilitate international market entry.

Hojae Lee, CEO of Y&ARCHER, which oversees the program, noted increasing international interest in Korean startups, particularly in the United States and Europe. The program aims to leverage this growing recognition by providing structured pathways for global expansion and collaboration.

The orientation event featured five-minute investor relations presentations from each participating company, followed by a networking session designed to explore potential collaborative opportunities. This approach underscores the program's commitment to creating an interconnected startup ecosystem that can effectively compete on the global stage.

Pangyo Techno Valley, the program's host, has established itself as a significant innovation hub, housing 1,666 companies and employing 78,751 professionals as of 2023. With total sales reaching 167.7 trillion KRW, the ecosystem represents a critical infrastructure for technological innovation in South Korea.

The Global Accelerating Program reflects a strategic approach to nurturing technological innovation, supporting emerging companies in translating local expertise into international market success. By providing targeted resources and opportunities, the initiative seeks to position Korean startups as competitive global players in increasingly technology-driven industries.
